I did a cupid like this for a Valentines challenge last year. I made a few improvements to it this time around.

I decided to try to make a simple heart from a round balloon. I have been trying for three days to do it. Just a little go each day. I had some interesting results but not the nice shape I wanted. But here it is at last. I finally sussed it. A flat heart from a round balloon.
Very nice Thelma with all that stuffing practice you should be in top form when it comes to getting the turkey ready.
Nice one Thelma
On one of the other forums I belong to a challenged in creative thinking was issued to use a certain 'style' of design and incorperate a song theme into it. The design style was what you can do with the heart shape.
The rainy days heart style, works well for most little girls. I just change the color of the "caring" bear to whatever their favorite color happens to be. Then, instead of the rain clouds, I add a 5-petal flower. For the flower I use a yellow 260 to make a center bubble, then the rest of that balloon I use to strap the flower onto the heart.
The love bites heart style: In this photo the mouth is glue dotted onto the heart, but when I make it in public, I use scraps of 260s to strap it onto the heart.
The every rose style: I either omit the stem of the rose ('casue I don't carry pipe cleaners/chenille stems in my apron while working) or use an inflated 160 to make it. I've also made it using tulips, fancy flowers, daisies, and sunflowers/coneflowers instead of the rose.
Happy twisting,
Bonnie, The Balloon Lady (who bows to Thelma's awesome powers of balloon stuffing. :) )
Hi Bonnie. I love the humour in the "love bites" I like all the heat balloons you have done and shown here. As we are bringing past models in I might as well add mine from that challenge too. So here are some heart based balloons.
