Coolinflations

Sorry if this topic has come up before, but I am wondering how you all equip yourselves in the field (so to speak).  Due to a lack of funds I adapted my beach 'man-bag', stuffed it full of balloons and take it with me, though I like the idea of being more mobile at parties - especially weddings and restaurants.  The apron I have an eye on is £48 in the UK, but I can't justify spending that just now.  Who knows, perhaps Santa will bring me one?

What are your thoughts?

I have a twist em up double busking bag, and i love it. At the time of purchase i couldn't fill up one roll (it comes with 2) but now i cant fit all my balloons in two rolls!!!

If you are looking to only stock 260's (and maybe 160's) then the double is the way to go, i am now getting into 350's and 646's and i wish i had a triple busking bag!!

You can get them from twist em up, which i am pretty sure is based in usa.

Not being a professional, at least that's what I keep telling myself lol, I have been using a rolling cart that was made for a sewing machine.  In it I have plastic cylinders that are supposed to be for crackers but the balloons fit in them perfectly.  However that being said, I recently was able to use a borrowed twist em up apron and loved it.  I have one on order now and can't wait to get it and fill it up.  I think it really just depends on the venue that you are working and each has its place.

The Twist em up apron is the one that I saw for sale on a UK website (can't remember which now) but the Jumbo version was £48.  I am just starting to equip 350s and my first 646 colour - yellow for a minion design I saw on youtube.  I have lots of 5" rounds in various colours and pink and red hearts too.

I like that I'm not the only person improvising with my carrying equipment - I think for now I will see how my p/t carrier progresses before getting an apron.  If I find the item again I will post a link to it.

I really enjoy Ed Chee's apron. This is the apron I use currently. Swapped out the largest Twist em up for this apron.

I really love the Bagchunus (sp?) Rob B.'s bag that David Brenion uses as seen on Balloon Blast. Seems like a great system.

As for bags I love the Swifty bags but I can not justify the price tag ATM. It seems one of the best things is a crafting bag or re purposed bag of some sort.

I use the same apron, and I like it.  I am also with you in that I wish David's friend would make that bag setup publicly available.  It looks awesome.

I tried to get a Swifty in the past, but I never had any luck getting emails returned.

This is the only place I know of that sells it: http://shop.diamondstorm.com/index.php? ... cts_id=269
(But it looks like it would be around $40/£25 to ship to UK  )

I have just got this Double Busking Bag customized (from Twist Em Up) so that it could fit in 3 inserts rather than 2.

Its diameter is 3 inch more than the standard Double Busking Bag (as you can see above) and it has the same amount of pockets (ten) just bigger (about 30% bigger).    You place one insert on top of another and roll the two up, then roll the third one around them.

Hope this helps,

I hate the apron. It is at child head height and too many kids try to grab at the balloons. This is bad for many reasons! I much prefer the bag with the velcro roll inside it :)
