Panda Design
« on: February 08, 2015, 10:51:09 PM »
For the past few months, well the geo play thread started early Oct I have been having a play with a panda design. One or two were just OK, nothing I was truly happy with.
The criteria was the head had to be made with a geo and would appear on my up coming geo DVD.
Had another play tonight and I think we had the lightbulb moment and have one that I'm pretty pleased with.

This panda I taught at the Leeds event back in March 2014, it uses 350's for the head and body.

I saw a nice easy panda on facebook by Jeanine von Essen and decided to have a play, Jeanine's was made with a 350 I believe and I started off with a 5" round.

This was a pretty poor effort compared to Jeanine's, this is her facebook page to view the original, https://www.facebook.com/HeyBalloonLady

I made these all yesterday, I think 4 variations in all. These two are the same, I was trying for the sit down look.

I remember David placing the ears on after with that design, there was a slack 260 which fitted under the muzzle.
So I changed the way I had the ears on the panda and this made the ears higher on the design.

I also made some new eyes, the ones with the white looked racoon like to me.

I was making a couple of Panda's at the millennium jam, when I get to resize them on that thread then I will add here as well.
Today I made another version, it needs a little tweaking here and there which I will have a play with tomorrow.
