Hi Folks,

I obtained this electric pump last week alongside two others. However, I cant seem to get this one going! Does anyone by any chance recognise a possible brand / creator?

Looks like the one I have made by Quality props.

Thanks Graham - do they have a website? When I google search I get all sorts - including electric manure pumps! (Although I'm sure I could fit one into my act somewhere....)

Yes that is a Quality Props pump

Quality Props was run by Dave Shaw, in Coventry, and they made fantastic Illusions.

Dave and his wife Joy worked a great Illusion show on the ships, and when they retired from working the show, he built illusions, and as he was a performer himself, his props were made with the knowledge of a working pro...for example all his illusions with wheels on used castors with brakes, so they don't run away with the girl in when the ship rolls !!

When I did a bit of Magic, I had a lot of props from Dave, and have his phone number. I have not seen him for years now, but message me and I will give you his last known number

I'm yet to contact them, have you managed too? I was literally just wondering if it would be better to wait until you hear back rather than me pestering them asking (what I believe) similar questions!

Well I managed to attach a battery from another pump I have and it now works beautifully! (Don't know why I didn't think of it in the first place!) Just need to do the permanent swap or purchase a new battery.

Any ideas on which ones to go for?
