For anyone that is following along you might have noticed I have missed out DVD 5 at the moment.
As I just reviewed DVD 4 which was "Back to Basic's" where I did step by step instructions on the dinosaur, snake and a swan.
DVD 5 is one balloon wonders so would again be one balloon models,
stating the obvious there so I thought I would miss out DVD 5 at the moment and go back to it later.

So the next review coming up will be DVD 6 "Just Hats"  There is no prize for guessing what is on this DVD  :)

If anyone would like to purchase DVD 6 then this is the link, http://www.balloonartwholesale.co.uk/balloons/dvds-books/

I just flipped through DVD 6 to see what models I liked, four stood out for me,
Micky Mouse Hat
Crocodile Hat
Sponge Bob Hat
Aeroplane Hat

I just had a look through the model of the month and there are instructions for Micky Mouse,
but not as a hat and this version is slightly different in construction.

september-model-the-month-mickey-mouse-t581.html

Looking at the instructions they look a little dated now,  :(  :o

Off to look to see if there is a plane or sponge bob already explained.

There is a sponge bob hat explained here, november-model-the-month-sponge-bob-hat-t775.html

Mind you I made it back in 2008, blimey that long ago.

I do add a twist in the centre of the top of his head so the top of eye's twist in there and also use 350's with a puff of air for the legs.

Off to see if I can find a picture.

Here we go then with instructions for the plane first, the construction is a little different than on the DVD.

Inflate the 260 leaving 6 fingers un-inflated, make a 3 finger fold twist (this is a 6 finger bubble twisted over on itself)

The make another 3 finger fold twist, followed by a 4 finger and 2 finger bubble.
Twist these into the two fold twists, this is the top section for the rear tail fin.

You then need a 1 finger pinch twist to sit underneath the two fold twists.

Then make a 6 finger bubble hollowed by another 1 finger pinch twist.

Make a 4 finger bubble and then a 1 finger pinch twist.

You then need another 1 finger pinch twist, this will be the front of the plane.

Make a 4 finger bubble and twist this into the first pinch twist at the rear of the cockpit.
Deflate and discard the rest of the 260 balloon.

Inflate another 260 balloon leaving 3 fingers un-inflated.

Push the air along so you end up with 2 fingers un-inflated, this makes the 260 softer as you need to add a few twists.

Make a 4 finger bubble at the end of the balloon, this will be the front of the plane.
Attach this to the two pinch twists.

Make a 5 finger bubble for the underside of the cockpit and attach the 260 to the rear cockpit pinch twist.

Take the knot end of the balloon and attach to the same pinch twist, this gives you a big circle loop.

Divide the loop in half and then attach this twist around the two front pinch twists.

Then divide each wing, in this picture the front section of the wing is 1 finger bubble length longer than the back section.
I will post another plane with the wings split slightly differently as it does change the look of the plane.

Inflate a clear 260, leaving 2/3 fingers un-inflated. Attach to the front two pinch twists,
then make a 5/6 finger cockpit and attach to the rear pinch twist.

Make between a 8/10 finger bubble and then a 2 finger pinch twist.
The 8/10 finger bubble is dependent on the head size of the person who will be wearing it,
the bigger the head the smaller the bubble. So a bigger bubble for a child and a smaller bubble for an adult.

Having said that normally in the real world I leave the clear balloon as it is after making the cockpit,
that way the person can fly the plane with the inflated 260 clear.

Push the rest of the air along the 260 clear, make a 2 finger bubble and attach around the pinch twist.

If the hat is a little small you can stretch the balloon by pulling it between your hand,
like wise if the hat is too big make the circular part into a triangle, this will make the hat fit.

I will take a picture later for the triangle section of the hat, the back section of the wings are 8 finger bubbles on my plane.

I changed the wing shape in the second picture.

I made the airplane yesterday. Such a sweet, simple design and so effective. I made is out of 360s by the way.... Worked beautifully

Been a few weeks since I posted the plane, here are the instructions for the crocodile hat.
Please try this as it's definitely a winner in the real world.

You do need to use a lot of the first balloon so best to pre-stretch this 260,
pull it up between your finger and thumb so warming the balloon and making it a few fingers longer when inflating.

Leave 5 fingers un-inflated and make approx. a 6 hands in length bubble before making a 2 finger pinch twist.
I normally just measure this to the front temple of the victims head with the 260 going around the back of the balloon.

After the 2 finger pinch twist you need a 3 finger bubble followed by a 1 finger pinch twist, another 3 finger bubble and again another 1 finger pinch twist.

Then make the third 3 finger bubble and a 2 finger pinch twist. You attach the knot of the 260 balloon to this pinch twist.
Then make two 4 finger bubbles and attach this to the first 2 finger pinch twist you made in the design, discard the rest of the balloon.

The three 3 finger bubbles are the top of the crocodiles head and the two 4 finger bubbles the underneath.

I like the crocodile to have two sets of bubbles over the top of his head, makes for deeper, more evil looking eyes, but only in my opinion.

Inflate your second 260 balloon, leaving 5 fingers un-inflated. Attach this balloon to the 2 finger side pinch twist and make a
3 finger bubble an twist around the 1 finger pinch twist that is already there from the previous balloon.

Make another 3 finger bubble and attach to the second 1 finger pinch twist.
