Hi,

My son wants a DR WHO party next month and would really love to give him a balloon Dalek. I have never even attempted twisting as very new to the balloon world. I've watched the vids on youtube as per the advice of Patricia Balloona but very nervous and not quite sure where to start. Does anyone have a slower, more detailed tutorial with verbal/written instructions please?

Thanks,

Natasha @ B2P

Is there a Youtube tutorial already for the Dalek?
The best suggestion I can give is just start, we all learn from the mistakes and unless you start you will have no mistakes to rectify.
Not sure if that would help though.

Have a look at weaving a hat or vase as a starting point. Many of the principals are transferable but obviously on a bigger scale and with add extras.

there isn't a tutorial for a Dalek but there is a video of a guy making a small one, about a 1ft to a 1ft and a half if I had to guess.

it is pretty fast.

My Dalek is based heavily on a cake weave design, I used that as a template and worked it into a Dalek. It is hard to explain especially since technical talk is not my forte, lol.

sorry I was not of more help to you. hope someone more technical savvy can help and also who knows what you might find with experimentation. :)

Seems like it would be very similar to a R2D2 balloon sculpture assuming there is one.
