Thank you so much for having me, Graham, and for adjusting your schedule. So sorry to make you change things just for me.

I must say I very excited for my first trip to the UK. I can't wait to share my ideas with you. The classes I have prepared include material that I use everyday in my actual work. Here is a brief description of the classes, just to whet your appetite.

Rounds and Hearts: Using the Qualatex 5 inch rounds and 6 inch hearts as a basis, I will show you a wide selection of small animal figures that are perfect for bracelets or hairbands. The use of the rounds and hearts adds bulks and chubbiness to the figures without adding unnecessary lines. To see a few examples of these figures go to http://www.facebook.com/Mr.DaveTwister# ... &aid=41828

Backpacks: If you really want people to remember you, the best way to do that is to create a story around you. With backpack sculptures you allow the guests at your parties to take on a character and create stories for you! In this class I will demonstrate a structure for building comfortable backpacks, then show you how that structure can be the jumping off point for any number of different costumes. I will update you later with some pictures of these backpacks.

That's all for now. See you soon!

David has sent over some details about what he will be teaching at the day;

David Brenion:
David has been a performer and balloon artist for over 11 years. Together with his wife Shana, they own Nifty Balloons, an event entertainment company in Ventura, CA. David's whole world changed when he attended Twist & Shout 2009. Since then, he has spent all of his energy pushing the limits of his creativity. David specializes in creating sculptures with real personality and character, that evoke strong emotional responses from his audience.

Twisting with Rounds and Hearts:
This intermediate class will focus on utilizing Qualatex 5in Rounds and 6in Hearts to create adorable little critters with instant "hug appeal". I will also demonstrate several ways of presenting the sculptures for added value, as well as showing how you can scale these sculptures up to make an even BIGGER impact!
Backpacks!:
Costumes make characters. Characters make stories. Stories make memories.
One of my favorite types of sculpture to make for kids are backpacks. They have a big visual impact, they are comfortable (which means kids will wear them for a long time), and most importantly, they are fun! They become an instant costume and kids begin playing their roles right away. From butterflies and fairies for girls, to jetpacks and laser gun packs for boys (and a whole lot more) these sculptures are designed to be interactive and visual. I will also demonstrate how to simplify the designs for busier settings like restaurants and line work

I Have just come back from Twist and Shout, and was lucky enough to see some of Davids' classes, they were fantastic, so if you are thinking of going to the lecture do not hesitate book it now, you will not regret doing so.

I attended both of David's classes at T&S and like Colin I would recommend them wholeheartedly. I am also now the proud owner of both of David's accompanying DVDs which are also great and possibly the best produced twisiting DVDs I have seen.

David really was big news at T&S. In both classes he taught a range of very useable designs and talked a lot about twisting the models in the real world and how to expand the designs.

Assuming that Shana (David's wife) will be accompanying him then you will also be getting double the value from the day.

Book now!

Thanks for coming to my classes, and thanks for the glowing reviews!! As for my better half, sadly Shana will not be joining me on this tour. Maybe next time!

I too got the pleasure of attending Dave's classes at T&S...he is fantastic!
I have already made a couple of the designs here (the wearables) and the kids LOVED them!
I agree with the others...if you haven't signed up yet...do! His stuff is great! You will learn lots of usable material.

I cannot make the lecture as a bit too far for me to travel. Though I have joined the club so as not to miss out. Also I have ordered both of David's DVDs which should be here next week so am looking forward to checking them out.

I saw David's balloon1twister videos and have got to say I am really sad I cannot attend the class in person as I bet it will be brilliant.

Looking forward to watching your stuff and hope to catch you again in the future.
