I got back this afternoon from the Blackpool balloon bash.
We decided to spend another night in Blackpool due to the weather.
I will post some of the balloon pictures later, it was nice meeting a lot of new people
and catching up with others. It was a laugh, then again I always have a laugh
where ever I go with the latex.
This time I was the Cadburys milk tray abseiling man,
you possibly had to be there but it was a very funny night.
I travelled up on the Thursday so there was about 7/8 of us there I think.
:)
For a change I thought I would make a variation on the sausage dog ;)
Zoe making her dress, I think it was a shame that the three dress's made were
not worn and mentioned as quite a time was being spent on them.
Michael re-freshed my memory on how to make the cube. I have
been informed this is a Brian Asman design, I was going wrong on
stage two of three. I used to make this quite regularly a while back.
The good thing is it will take your weight and you can stand on it.
The dog having a wee on the lamp post.
Outside the hall and outside the venue.
Bob who was unable to attend due to health reasons made the
plaque design for the bash.
Zoe with her dress.
A variation on the Lamp I made the other week,
trying a different shade construction.
Some then went off to the swimming pool.
The base of the lamp upside down could have been the start of an
Olympic flame or any flame really.
I made the lamp slightly shorter, it looked too tall to me before.
Great photos. I barely took any... Can I pinch a couple please??

Could you let me know what numbers and I will send you the originals which
will be better qualaity. Are they just for facebook?
I do have loads more still to post.
The official start of the event.
We got into 5 teams and made a car, every 5 minutes people moved to
another group. It was organised chaos but fun as many were not
sure what group to move too. But this made it funnier.
This was the group I was in, the first picture here and the last picture on the post above.
We made the white car. There was a technical reason why we had two radiators,
I made the first one too small.
The cars coming together.
Yes just for FB. I will wait until you have finished posting them first :)
The original Iron latex lady, I think Shirley was the first to win this at The Millennium Jam.
Getting ready for the Blackpool Iron man competition.
All ready.
Debating what to make.
I made the rabbit earlier on in the day and for a laugh entered it into the comp.
I'm sure everyone realised this? Well I hope they did.
I don't think there were any white balloons in the bag to use.
Still the iron man competition.
Iron man.
It was great to catch up with Shirley Ray, she is just lovely.
And Joanne is nice as well ;)
My bunny rabbit and Danielle in the tower.
Zoe finished the dress, I think someone should have worn it,
Possibly Zoe?
Craig at the start of his workshop.
Ooops, this was the finished dress.
I though the inside of the wheel design would make for a captain America shield.
Possibly a slight change in colour but it looks like it would work OK.
I think Michael made the grey baby and Louise the other one.
Some great photos graham
Zoe wore her dress and so did someone else

I must have missed that,
perhaps it was one of those late at nights when I'm off getting my beauty sleep ;)
Louise made the baby then from Craig Cash workshop.
Getting ready for the 5 minute competition.
The 5 minute competition. I really liked Michael's tractor.
Still the 5 minute comp.
Then it was the 30 minute competition.
30 minute comp.
Caroline made the tower with lights.
The dress section.
From the 30 minute comp.
There were babies everywhere.
Then it was onto Michaels workshop.
Julie having a relaxing time on her phone.
Variations from some of Michaels designs.
More from the bash.
A couple of Spider men.
Mr Potato head.
Crusty the clown.
More
More.
Then it was onto the winners ceremony.
144, Louise winner Iron latex man
145, Caroline runner up Iron latex man
Iron latex man and both the winners were female, possibly a title change for next year?
The Iron Person competition but then does it really matter.................Possibly?
I will get a list of who won what etc shortly.
147, Michael runner up in the 30 minute competition.
146, Michael winner of the 5 minute competition.
145, Sally runner up in 5 minute competition.
Alex won the 30 minute competition.
My ladies of latex and the 50 shades of Graham discussion, he he.
Some of the shades.
More pictures.
More from the bash.
Displaying the heart.
I had a go at the eternity weave, I did not use all the balloon length
as this made it a tighter weave with less open space.
There were quite a few eternity designs about.
Then it was onto Michaels Sunday morning session.
Sally & Danielle following along.
Great set of photos.

Great set of photos.
I still have a few more to post Lee, should all be up by Monday I think.
I really liked the head structure of the dog Michael shared.
Last picture, this is Alex, Sara's son who won the McPump in the raffle.
Louise won the pump but already had a filbert so decided to raffle it off with
proceeds going to the local school for Autism. I think over £200 was raised.
There was some deep discussion at the back of the room.
Louise doing the draw for the raffle price, the McPump.
On the way to the town centre to go up the Blackpool tower, this time it was closed
due to high winds, maybe we will get to the top next year?
Then again maybe not!
Frank receiving the Burns/Ashworth Shield.
We did manage to have a look inside though, that building has some history.
It was then time for bingo with my partners in crime, it was a very funny hour.
We did have a laugh.
After bingo we went off to twist for a while.
I added a trigger to the gun.
From the fold twist next time I would make the blush around the back in white to
keep in keeping with the nappy. I say next time but I probably wont make again.
Always onto the next thing.
The last of the Blackpool pictures, finally got there.
The view from my bedroom window towards the tower, zoomed out and in.
The morning after, everyone has gone and there are no balloon anywhere to be seen
where the day before was thriving with balloons and those that play with them.
It's like a holiday romance, he he.
