David Baxter from made to measure magic, if you wanted something special made David will make it for you. He is excellent with woodwork and a pot of paint.
Dave Allen lecture, the first one of the day and Andrew made the stork for the stand, I think he said it was a variation from Pieter van Engen.

Thelma and Elsa.

The picture does not show this very well but the head part of the mermaid was inflated 3/4 time to give a fuller look,
it worked well but does not show up so great on the pictures. It was Thelma's idea. I should mention someone only wanted to use 260's for the model so we were trying some idea's out.
The lion was made with two hearts for the face, I made a mouse with the same technique at the city of London jam on Monday night.

There was an award ceremony in memory of Steve Evans who died of cancer earlier in the year, Steve was featured on the TV, radio and worldwide due to his inspirational approach to his illness. The award was presented to Eric Sharpe for his contributions over the years to Children's Magic.

Thelma was asked for a pink and purple dog, what was nice that a little thank you letter was sent to me from the lady that requested this and also from another request.
So two thank you letters to pass onto Thelma from one show, that is NICE! The other was for the large Elsa that Thelma is posing with above.

The big screen did come in handy, both Elsa's were different. I think one was made from 350 and then the other a 260? Or was it just the arms?

There were stick on eyes for models for those not so great with artwork.
We then move onto the balloon modelling competition......................now what should one say about that??

was doing the prize draws at the end of the day to nearly an empty room as everyone was heading off home, I think he could have done with a little plug
but he did have a dealer stall so hopefully got a few more subscriptions.
