Less than a week to go till the next STAR LECTURE balloon days with Pip Milford-Hughes
who is coming over all the way from New Zealand. So please come and support here for
a fun and fabulous day or two in Birmingham on the 19/20th Nov. Both days will be
different so please come to one or both days. The days are open to members and
non members. Everyone is most welcome, this is year 15 of running the
care & share balloon days in the UK where we are striving to
"Improve Our Balloon Art".
Any questions about the days then please ask or to book,

Just back late last night from the event, another fun two days with so
many designs shared. Fun and laughter with like minded nutters ;D
Will start adding the pictures later.
Thanks to all who attended and helped to make the day what it is with
bringing nibbles, helping in and out with shop and keeping place tidy.
Its appreciated.
Wands were a theme during the day.
The day was very Christmas themed.
More from the day, Thelma had a new balloon bag..... a small pram.
Once again thank you Graham, these days are amazing, some great designs and excellent tips given out over the two days.

Once again thank you Graham, these days are amazing, some great designs and excellent tips given out over the two days.
Pleased you had an enjoyable time Dan.
More wands, have you noticed a theme ;)
And a few more wands.
Pip had some good extra ideas for the elf, everyone approved and
rushed out at lunchtime to buy the extras from local shop.
More wands.
And guess what...............yes more wands.
Some new bags attended the days and people were comparing.
Al wanted to be in the little video we recorded on the Wed,
I was tempted but went with the original script.
I will post the model I made for the recording later on the thread.
I think the unicorn hat may have had to be in day two and the last session ;D
Caroline being...........................well make your own mind up, he he.
It was then competition time.
The competition theme was New Zealand.
More from the competition.
We had a good turn out for the competition,
partly due to the stunning prizes that we are lucky enough to give away ;D
Amanda's design had a few techniques learnt from the workshop.
I did not get a good picture unfortunately.
Dan and Thelma were joint runners up and Rob won the electric balloon
inflator that was generously donated by Olivia, thanks Olivia xx.
And thanks to all who entered into the competition for day one.
I was making the girl for a little something we were doing later in the day.
Day two started with Pip and the marionette.
Plus the magical levitating puppet ;)
Then it was marionette time.
A few more.
I made the girl for a little something that will be shown in March 2020.
Pip showing her baby buggy.
The baby got upset in the last picture.
Also a cradle design.
It was then onto competition for day two .
We usually pick a theme but for this one we picked a shape, we used
the ball that David Croft showed at the Sutton day a few months
back and that design had to be incorporated into the design.
More from the competition.
Could not get a good picture of Dan hitting his ball with the stick.
David's entry was very very funny, you had to be there type of moment.
For the second day we also had an equal runner up with Ine and Caroline.
Caroline donated the balloon video so we presented it back to her ;D
We did change the prizes about after though.
And the winner was David and his little man ;)
PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE SOME SLIGHTLY ADULT BALLOONS IN POSTS BELOW.
WARNING
SLIGHTLY ADULT BALLOONS....................
Some more form the later session.
Last ones from the days.
Thanks to all who attended and helped with keeping venue tidy.
Bringing stock in and out and the general running of the days.
It is appreciated, so thank you.
And thanks to Pip for coming half way around the world for the club ;D
