I have just booked and confirmed Wallie to come over and to run two workshops
in Birmingham on Tuesday 27th and Wed 28th March.
DAY ONE, will be "Surprise" Wallie puts over 20 of his designs into a bag and whatever
is picked out he will make and explain. All designs take less than 5 minutes to make.
DAY TWO, Large and Impressive. Designs made from 350 and 646's.
The first day will be filmed for Balloon Artiste Guild Members.
Booking details, http://www.balloonartwholesale.co.uk/ba ... hare-days/ (http://www.balloonartwholesale.co.uk/balloons/care-share-days/)
Last call for booking onto the workshops next week.
What a fun couple of days, some great memories to go into the memory banks.
Too many to mention but thanks to all who came along and make the days what they are.
It really is appreciated................so Thank you xx
Here we go then with the pictures, I have so many to catch up on.
Twist posting from twist and shout in Jan, BBB in March and now from
the Care & Share day and the start of year 14 with Wallie de Groote.
They were knocking down the Gym over the road, we did think it would be pretty
noisy in the venue but it was OK, more noise from the band in the upstairs hall.
Wallie did have a lot of pre-made designs to get around to the venue and possibly the
most balloon stock I have taken for everyone to use with so many 350's and 646's
for building the larger designs.
Wallie explained that this David Grist design, piglet was one of the first he learnt
and he always makes this design first at every gig.
Dave gave out some little thank yous for his wedding gift,
that was very nice and appreciated.
And we are off on what turned out to be a very enjoyable
and laugh a lot two day event.
Danny just loved wearing his head band :(
The lights in the bag were a fab idea.
And some variations on the ostrich.
Here we go then with the first pictures posted from me onto the new forum.
It's good to see some keeping with the old traditional way of keeping up to date.
A notepad and pen.
A good old David Grist design, Piglet.
Nice memories brought back at the day.
More from the day, poor old Yoda lost an eye with that stick
Can be very dangerous
Some variations.
It was a fun couple of days, still more pictures to post.
Then It was competition time.
Now I cant remember a thing about Amanda's cheese entry but just that it was so funny at the day.
Dan and his macho arm.

I think it was the baby cheeses (baby Jesus) 😁
More from day one of the competition.
Then it was back to Wallie for another session.
And the pictures keep on coming this morning.
Trying to do a little catching up as I have hundreds more to post.
A few more.
And the winner was Dan, what an amazing array of prizes we had this time around.
We honestly did have some nice prizes this time.
Another session with Wallie.
A quick Pikachu.
More from day one.
Swimming away.
There was plenty of fun, the two people in bed were Paul & Ruth.
It was so funny but one of those you had to be there :D
A slightly sea theme selection here.
Some people were having way too much fun.
:D
It was then competition time again.
I'm not sure how we cram so much fun into one day, he he.
<ore from the competition, the theme was Easter.
Nearly everyone went with the theme but sometimes there is always one,
it was very funny though.
Dan with his run over bunny.
And the winner was a Mr Driscoll with his bunny getting into a pot.
Dave with his very funny Balloon Chat hat.
The end of day one and the start of day two.
The black and white face was an idea I had from the new sword design I have as model of
the month for April. What you have in your head does not always translate to the latex.
This was a funny moment, Paul getting dressed up.
He was the only one in the room who did not realise who he was going to be.
Paul could not see in the mirror so they put a chair up and it was just so so funny.
One of those you had to be there, have I ever said I love the balloon days, if not then I do.
More from the day.
I finally got a picture of the flashing light on in the flower.
Still plenty of pictures to be posted.
Everything was being super sized.
Roger was making his competition piece, a classic Dutch painting.
Some of the competition pieces.
Some variations on a theme.
More variations.
Roger relaxing after making his entry.
Wallie was filling the space with the balloons he made over the two days.
The competition was just so funny, thanks everyone for making the days and events what they are,
Fabulous, well I think they are.
David's boat sunk on the canal, ha ha we all had a good laugh.
Leonie and her lips, another classic, especially later when David made a comment, classic.
Sometimes you just have to be there.
The fries was part of David's entry, Wallie was displaying them for him.
Paul telling Dan that is not a stick......................This is a stick.
We all laughed, Paul was very funny since coming back from his honeymoon.
The theme for the day was Holland just in case you were wondering.
Then it was onto the last session of the day.
Rob made the flower for the series he is doing on countries. It was for Holland
and he has posted this already otherwise I would have not posted this picture here.
Steve was the runner up in the competition.
We usually only have a winner but I had so many prizes to give away.
A big group photo after a fun two days together.
And Roger won the star prize, it was such a good prize I have forgotten what it was.
But no doubt it was well worth winning, I just remembered David donated one of his
squeaky dogs the dogs trust had made up from his TV ad dog that he made.
So it was a great prize.
That is all the pictures from the day, thank you to Wallie for coming over and
everyone else who attended to make the days what they are....................
THANK YOU, it's much appreciated XXxx
