Update These are revised instructions of a simple weave.
(The comments below them relate to an earlier, now deleted version.)

For a very tight weave - I recommend the technique on the next page (page2.)

I used Sempertex 260’s as they are slightly longer than other brands.

I have now found how to weave a hat, basket etc using just six 260's for the main body.
I use Sempertex as they are longer than other brands & six is all you need for it.

Sorry but it doesn't make sense to me....
260s are the same length otherwise they are 270s or 280s.

perhaps I'm just an idiot.

Hello Danny,
260's are generally the same length, though certain brands have more length making them easier to tie & if you tie them at the very top - then you will have no wasted balloon & get more length to work with.
Here is a vase made from six 260's. For this one I started with 5 inch uninflated.

Daniel

What a lovely colour combination, very Nice.

Danny

A Sempertex 260 is between 4/6 inches longer than qualatex, it's also a thicker balloon as well.

Hello Graham,
These can be made with lots of combinations, I use this weave with either 1,2,3 or 6 different colours.

Yes Sempertex are thick balloons & I have found that I can stretch the balloon a few inch longer to get even more length & it does not seem to lose any strength.

The left basket was considerably bigger than the other one, so an extra 260 was added at the top to make another level.

The distance of the bubbles from centre to outside is the same as the outer bubbles as circumference is just over six times radius in distance.
