I need to make a female variant of the Ken Stillman superhero.

Can anyone give me any idea of how to make chest look 'womanly' ...preferably very 'womanly' ;)

Thx,
M

Hi Martin.
I was chatting to Ken after attending his workshop on the super hero and he said he has tried and tried to get a womanly face using the technique but it does not work. That is not really surprising. The whole thing about the technique he uses is that it uses the strong exaggerated chin which is a comic book style indicating strength, integrity and "manliness" Not what you would usually want in a woman. to get a female look the chin has to be more gentle and the cheeks more pronounced instead. Of course this is only my opinion which it not necessarily the right opinion. I had a play once and did not come up with anything using the two hearts together. But I might sit and have another go tonight now you have put it in my mind. Will post the results if I get any!!!! Have you tried yet? You have to have a go too. If you don't show me yours I won't show you mine!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guilty as charged Thelma... I spent far too long thinking about the chest and totally ignored the face

I need to make 4 superheroes later in the week (2 boys, 2 girls), but seeing as it will get me a chance to see yours I will try to have a go later tonight too.

Thanks,
Martin.

That is very nice Graham, although maybe a bit too feminine for what I am after.

What do you think of my 1st attempt? It is nothing fancy, I simply substituted a round for the botton heart. It's not perfect (especially with the colour round I had) but I think it does soften the chin and widen the cheeks slightly.

M.

Is the balloon around the eyes a 260? would a 160 look softer, there's only one way to find out :)
Although I think you've caught the look well

It's actually a 160 Graham, although I know exactly what you mean.

I think I might need to try more air in the top heart and bottom round to make the head bigger overall, which should lessen the impact of the eye mask.

Thanks,
M.

ok boys. Here is my attempt trying to keep to Ken's general design. Based on a Bat Woman picture I saw. I have tried to keep the face as soft as possible and the chin less prominent than Ken's make Super heroes.

That is very cool Thelma :!: I love the black and red

Is the head just a single heart balloon, with the hat over the top of it?

Martin.

p.s.
I will post a group shot once I have made the 4 of them later in the week.

The face is one heart yes but it is not just a case of making the mask over the top of the heart. I made a bubble part way between the lip knot and the lope and then I pulled the lip knot over the heart to the bubble. But the lip knot is extended the long way round to the bubble. The neck of the model is done by easing a 160 balloon inside this stretched lip. This way the two lobes are still available to attach the mask.
