I have a jungle themed party this weekend, so i'm making up the balloons on friday (today). I saw this and thought how wonderful and such a simple design.

SO I THOUGHT!!!!

I've gone through about 20 balloons trying to do this and still it beats me!

I've tried 2x 160's. 1x 160 and 1x 260. 1x 160 and 1x350. I've tried blowing them soft, blowing them hard, blowing them long and letting it down. Cutting before hand, cutting after.

Can someone put me outta my misery, PLEASE!
and explain what i have to do, and which balloons to use.

Cheers

Just a guess but a 360 or 660 stretched over a 160 & cut for effect????
put the 160 inside the 360 and then blow up the 160?????

In my guess it would be taking a white 260 and stuffing into a yellow 260 blow up the white one that is inside and tie it off then carefully cut the yellow one into the banana shape and draw the lines.

Hope this works!

Thanks for your comments, but this is what i have tried, but as you cut the outside 1, it either splits all the way down or the inside 1 pops out and pushes the outside 1 down to the bottom.

Have a go and you'll see what i mean.

Cheers

Well, 2 hours later, lots of swearing, cramp in 1 hand, and sore eyes, i've finally managed it.
But whatever you do, DON'T ask me for a bunch of them!!!!

I think i'll stick to unpealed one's.

Twas made with white 160 and yellow 646.

Cheers
Adie

A little late for this... But I have done this by cutting 2 yellow 646's down the middle then using rubber cement to glue the strips onto the 260. It gives the same illusion the first picture does. Want an even harder challenge? Try using a 160 or 260 as a nose on a snowman made from real snow and making it stay!

This was my second attempt, inflated the white 160 then cut & stretched the 660 over the top.
The first attempt was with putting the 160 inside the 660 and then inflate the 160 but it was difficult to judge the position of the banana with the outer skin, so version two is definately quicker & easier.
Petra took a picture of version one so hopefully in the next few days she may post it.

Ok well I had to have a go.
I did mine slightly different. I put a 160 balloon inside a 260 balloon and inflated the 160. The reason is I didn't have a cream 160 but I had a cream 260. Unlike Graham's banana mine is ripe! The 260 balloon over the 160 made the 160 inflate slightly thinner I think. So it was easy to ease the 660 over the end. A happy outcome to a problem.

Well having made the banana I had to make a monkey to eat it. I have been making balloons tonight for some parties tomorrow. I have done a couple of new designs which I will post. So here is the monkey

This is how I do my banana. Doesn't have the smooth tip on the banana part, but it's quick and easy.
