Balloon Chit Chat / Advice and help pleeeease
May 16, 2013, 09:22:22 AM
Hi everyone!
I searched my question on here but I can't seem to find an answer....although I'm now starting to confuse myself!
Basically, I make balloons from home...helium filled balloons and twisty ones...my question is do I need insurance? Public liability insurance or the likes! I don't go to events or functions and do twisting, I make everything at home but do I still need to be covered?
I'm starting to lose the plot trying to find the answer! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you x

Website "Chat" Help / Advice needed pleeeaaase

Hi all! Just after a bit of advice if anyone can help!

I always buy my balloons from Graham but needed some 12" pink polka dot so ordered them from eBay. The seller is in the US (I'm in the UK) I paid 38.22USD plus 16.75USD for postage for a bag of 100. I've ordered balloons and a couple of Ken Stillmans dvds from the us a few times and everything's always been great! Here's my problem.....I received a card in the post yesterday saying my package couldn't be delivered as there was a customs charge to pay plus a handling fee of £12.82 before the package could be delivered! I've never had this before....have I just been lucky in the past or has the seller not filled the customs form out correctly? Think I was charged way too much postage in the first place and to then to have to pay an extra £12.82.....that's taking my 100 balloons to nearly £50!!!!!  :o

Not sure what to do....or if there's even anything I can do  :?:

Can anyone recommend where to get these from in future?
Any help greatly appreciated!

Thank you! X

Hi all!
I delivered a Minnie Mouse balloon column with a foil head last night which was filled with air not helium, as soon as I took the head out of the car into the cold it started to deflate. Is this normal? I know helium filled balloons do this...needless to say I got a bit of a panic on! I'm just about to deliver another one and a bit worried it will happen again...there's always the dredded thought it will stay like that?  :?

I love the fact you can come on here and people are willing to help you out! I only started balloon twisting about 8 weeks ago but im hooked already....LOVE IT!
Quick question....is there anything I can use to help preserve the balloons once they are made? Ive read Hi Float is more for helium filled balloons?  :)
