Taken from Grahams crown, makes a nice base for hat scenes.

Great idea for a fast hat/crown.

Okay so yes a big heading, but I was interested to see what the outcome was..

Many good balloon artists that I know will create a design that to me looks great and I can see the potential in it and future designs from it. Although I can see this, being a balloon artist my self, when shown to a non balloon artist, that on the other hand is a different story, a lot of the time they cannot make out what exactly the design is supposed to be. This first started a few years back, I was browsing designs, on the web and was asking the opinions of friends who were non balloon artists. At the time I thought nothing of it and felt it may have been down to them having no imagination, but as the years have gone by I have come across this again and again. So is it just a case of no imagination or is there just too much going on with the balloon sculptures being produced today.

Obviously not everyone can't figure out what some balloon designs are, but a lot can't.!! I guess as balloon artists we see and make different sculptures all the time and try to improve them by adding different twists etc, so we forget that non balloon artists don't see this all the time and to them, our panda in a bush, may look like a bunch of twisted balloons in the corner, which is some ways it is :D   .

Thanks for the info Graham, but I think I am going to pass this time, 50 pound extra for me is too much. Hope the day goes well. ;)

Hi Graham, I am flying over on the 7th for the Busfest, so I might pop in. Is it near Birmingham airport?  I am on foot or will be catching as bus to it.

At first glance of this sculpture I thought a weave was in order to do it, but actually it's far more easier than even weaving :D .

The Jury is still out on using it for line work but still a lovely gift for the more private functions.

A very workable design for the real world, on making it I saw endless variations, very nicely created Graham and thank you for sharing, I will have fun with this one ;)
