No, I am not looking to go into this full time!!! (plus, I am not good enough to take work away from you experts!)

However, I was talking to a balloon modeller in Poole last week, who mentioned that he is earning £500 per day. Now if this is the case, then I would expect there to be queues of people at the job centre gagging to do this work. It may be that he had a one off good contract, that he was talking about a pro rata amount or was bragging/ embellishing the truth???

I will add now, that he was a very friendly young man, and I liked what he was able to make, his wish to learn one from me, his knowledge and his attitude.

Are there contracts out there where you can earn £500 per day just walking round town centres making models for kids? I have seen a couple of prices on the job offers on here, and it does seem possible.

Ps. If there are, I will not mention it down at the job centre (especially as I have a full time job and don't need to go down there! lol)

Your thoughts and comments.

So who was the twister??
In my opinion you can earn very well as a balloon entertainer but that depends on your hourly rate and how many gigs/hours you can get.
I would be surprised if busking can bring this revenue in Poole!!
Perhaps someone on this forum  is more expert in ths area...

I busk  four days a week at my residency and I can tell you now you dont get 500 a day id be over moon if I got that lol and im doing partys aswel its the partys that make you the money and your reputation , I think he was stretching the truth a little , being a full time balloon modeller is damn hard work advertising, networking and being proffesional if he is doing 500 a day im doing something wrong ???

I don't think he was busking. I believe the local council was paying his wages? He was smartly dressed, colourful clothes. And was worried about getting a parking ticket! He knows of colonel custard who works in and around my part of the country, and knew other balloon entertainers from Oxford.
