I've had a company approach me about the opening of the Paddington Bear movie this weekend. They want balloon artists for this Sunday morning at cinemas in the following towns/cities.

SOUTHAMPTON
STOKE-ON-TRENT
TUNBRIDGE WELLS
METROCENTRE GATESHEAD
HATFIELD
KINGSTON-UPON-THAMES
CARDIFF
BASINGSTOKE
DERBY-CINEMA DE LUX
SHEFFIELD
BRIGHTON
GUILDFORD
MILTON KEYNES

The rates are not great, £90 for 2 hours. If anyone is interested, let me know.

I have done some of these before, and the advantage is that you always finish on time, as they have to get the kids in the cinema on time for the screening, and they tend to be in the mornings, so if the cinema is in the same area as your afternoon job it can be a nice bonus

Ok I am miles away, just wondering is it a cinema chain or a promotional company that asked you, if a cinema, might be a channel for me to approach, ok as said not good pay, but if early and local to another job, might be worth a punt. not heard of this before.

I was just contacted by an agent offering £140 for the same job.

Unfortunately the trains weren't working to get me to the town. So I had to decline. 3 hours of replacement bus travel for a two hour gig did not enthuse me to the job.

Scrap that, I've just spoken to them and they've booked everyone they need now.

I was at the MetroCentre, Gateshead.
It was basically one hour of twisting, but I was asked to quote for two hours as I had to be there 30 minutes before people were allowed in, and had to stay half an hour afterwards.

Glad someone got something out of it.
I emailed Denise who gave me the agency contact who I emailed and heard nothing back.
