I have been trying to come up with something that was a little different for a crown design.
Tried a few variations that I have posted over onto this thread.
There are still more to post from all the variations, crown-bird-butterfly-t10715.html

But I think I have come up with a slightly different design for a Princess Crown.

I like this one a lot.  Very different than I've seen before.  Usually I can look at a design and figure out an easy way to do it, but I have to say, this one you have me stumped lol.  Can't wait to try it :-)

You will be dis-appointed Tonya,
the crown is just two 160 balloons and then an extra 160 for the jewel colour of your choice.

I'm still undecided on what colours to send out with the instructions but possibly pink and spring green.

I have done the step by step in Caribbean Blue and Wild Berry and then the picture
above is a double stuffed black inside silver.

As usual the competition is a little thank you to those that purchase their balloon
products from us who go into the Balloon Modelling DVD draw.

But please if you do not purchase from us then please still have a go at the design and I
do hope it works for you out in the real world. If you do make it please post a picture
as it would be nice to see some variations on a theme.

This is what will come in the complimentary pack of balloons for August,
four pinks 160's and two spring green 160's. The draw will close on the
7th Sept and the draw will be made on the 8th Sept.

Hi Tonya, I meant from the point of view of from the construction of the crown,
I think it goes together quite easily but may look a little more complicated than it actually is.

Anyway.................without further ado here are the instructions below.

I'm still unsure what is the best colour combination, on the instructions they are Caribbean Blue and wild berry.
The original picture is a double stuffed black inside a silver with spring green as the jewels.
I have also tried variations and the last one I did try gold and red jewels.
So with this one please try what is pleasing to your eye.

Inflate your 160 and leave approx. 6/7 fingers un-inflated.

Make a 2 finger bubble followed by a 1 finger pinch twist.
You then need two 2 finger bubbles and another 1 finger pinch twist.

You then need a 2 finger bubble and a 1 finger pinch twist.
The last pinch twist is for the furthest side away from the first 2 finger bubble.
(The other side of the band around the back of the head will attach to this pinch twist)

Now make two more 2 finger bubbles, the second bubble will be twisted around
the twist between the two pinch twists on the left hand side of picture five.

Make two more 2 finger bubbles and then a 1 finger pinch twist.
The knot of the balloon is twisted into this pinch twist and is the side end of the crown.

The remainder of the 160 is measured around the persons head
and attached to the pinch twist on the other side of the crown.

Inflate the next 160 balloon leaving approx. 7 fingers un-inflated.

Make a 2 finger bubble followed by two 1 finger bubbles and make them into pinch twists.

You now need a 2 finger fold twist that gets twisted back into the pinch twists.

Make another 2 finger fold twist and twist the 160 into the pinch twists to secure and then
you need the last 2 finger bubble in this section.

Try to keep the rest of the 160 balloon to use as the centre jewel section or use a new 160.

Make two 1 finger pinch twists.

Make a 3 finger fold twist for the centre jewel section, wrap the 160 around the two pinch twists to secure.

Then make a 2 finger bubble and discard the rest of the balloon.
(if you would like the centre jewel section to sit taller then make this bubble a 3 or 4 finger)

The centre pinch twist of the hat section and the centre pinch twist of the jewel section and now twisted together.

Both the knots of the top section are twisted into the pinch twists on either side.
Make sure these are good tight connections.

For quickness you could just have a two jewel princess crown and not add the centre section.
