Graham Lee

I have gone with the Pug for the model of the month for August.
Mainly as I was asked for a Pug while working the other day
and did not have a quick real world one that I made.

Inflate the first blush 260 about half way,
make four 3 finger bubbles and tie together for top of head section.
Then make three more 3 finger bubbles and tie in between
bubbletwo and three of the top of the head section.
Discard rest of the balloon.

Inflate the chocolate brown 160 leaving between 6/7 fingers un-inflated.
Make a 3 finger fold twist for the ear and a 1 finger pinch twist,
tie this onto one side of the head where the three bubbles connect.

Make a 3 finger bubble for first eye and a 1 finger pinch twist.
This twists into the centre section of forehead, the nose fits
under this pinch twist later.

The body of the Pug is just a basic body so this can be a line work design.

Inflate the blush 260 leaving 5 fingers un-inflated.
Make a 2/3 finger bubble and push up between the centre of the head,
tie the knot into the top pinch twist and leave protruding so it adds
character to the head section.

Make a small 2 finger bubble and then two 1.5 finger pinch twists for the neck.

Make a 5 finger bubble followed by a 4 finger bubble and a 1.5 finger pinch twist.
Then make a 6 finger bubble and twist this into the neck section.

Now make the second 5 finger bubble for the body and twist into
the first 5 and 4 finger bubble section.

Then make a 4 finger bubble for the lower leg section and tie into the pinch twist.
Make a 6 finger bubble and twist into the neck.

Then make another 6 finger bubble and twist this back to the lower pinch twist.
You could just have two 6 finger bubbles but I went with three.

You could leave the pug here if busy or add the chocolate brown 160 for chest, tail and paws.
A pug does have a blush tail but we are going for speed and poetic license  ;)

Inflate the 160 chocolate brown just over half way,
attach to the neck and push the balloon between the body bubbles,
leave it protruding out slightly for texture and twist into the rear blush pinch twist.

Graham Lee

Make a 4 finger and a 2 finger bubble and twist back into the pinch twist for the tail.

Use the rest of the 160 chocolate and make a 4 finger bubble,
twist in half and make into two small fold/pinch twists.

Attach to the lower section of the 5 finger bubbles to look like paws.

The nose is a 1 finger bubble tied together, not too tight or it will look
like a pinch twist. Leave long ends to secure around each pinch twist.

This way you can position nose between both pinch twists.

I also pushed the nose into the 3 finger bubbles either side
for a more cute looking face, well I thought so  ;)

Add artwork for the eyes.

I did upscale the pug, the head is the same design but with 350's and 260's.
The body is a 350 inside with 350's and 160's wrapped around
and then 260's for the feet and legs.
