Well I'm hardly overqualified for this task but as Graham did ask for help here is my model of the month... hope someone sees some point in making it  ...or improving it!

It is a quick and fairly straight forward princess and as per Graham's usual process I will post the instructions towards the end of the month.

Yes... I should have added that this princess is far more 'pint-glass' than 'hour-glass'...lol

Ah, yes! "Cissie & Ada" - Flippin heck, you're taking me back, Graham......  :)

Anyway - just to clarify, are we to replicate Martin's princess, or do our own interpretation or is anything resembling a princess acceptable...?

Here are a couple of attempts at a princess, the first looks very butch as she has no neck and the hair I feel was attached at the wrong point.
I do like the look of the rear of her hair though.

On this one we attempted to add a neck which possibly softens her look?
But the hair was still looking that it was attached in the wrong place.

So we decided to start again and the head is tulip twisted into a 360 and offset and the hair has a bubble coming out from the arm connection at the back of her head so making the hair sit further back on the face.

Very very nice princess Graham... Although as I am in control  of model of the month for February, here is where I was coming from with this model.

It is quite obviously not the prettiest princess you will see, but I think the construction method (mostly hearts and rounds) is quite interesting and it is also very very quick. I can make this princess in around 2 minutes if the stick on nose is left off.

So... I was looking for interpretations based loosely around the same contruction technique... sorry should've explained up front.

Between watching the football and other things we have been playing around with the idea of the hearts being the main dress.
I think the body and head are to long and thin but I made these first, next time I would start with the base as the size of the model is governed by the hearts.
I added the nose after some of the pictures were taken.

Hi Graham,

I have always found with making princesses that the face is always too big and it makes the face look fat. So i found adding a little neck less than half the size of the face, makes a perfect head.

I like the big princess.. I think the head size is perfect, in connection with the body!! I think it adds character to the model.

I love the hair, it sits very well on the head.

I will have a go at the princess later tonight.

I made this cinderella the other day, but I will try and make one using your body ideas, as mine was to go on a hat or wand. The head and arms are a 160.
