I thought we would go back to a musical theme for May with the guitar, this one was made for the comic relief photo shoot last year.
As always I'm looking forward to everyone having a go and joining in  :D
I'm sure Dave will give you an extra brownie point if you post a picture with you wearing a red nose  :D

Hi Kenny,

Great pictures. It really looks like you're all having fun, especially your youngster at the back, and isn't that what balloons are for, to have fun with :D  :D  :D

Hope you had a great weekend.
Kind regards
Kevin

Hi Phoenix.

Yeah we had great fun today.
And yes that what balloons are all about is having fun with them. You know you could make a really good balloon sculpture and give to a child at a show... but nine out of ten times the child that you made the cool balloon for will want a sword or a balloon toy by the end of the show.

Regards!

Kenny.

Here are the instructions for May which are a little late  :(

Start of by inflating two 360 balloons with approx 5/6 fingers un-inflated, twist two, 3 finger pinch twists, then measure approx a 20 finger bubble followed by a 3 finger pinch twist.
Measure a 10 finger bubble and make this into a loop twist by securing the balloon into the pinch twist, measure a 4 finger bubble and discard the rest of the balloon.

With the second 360 (pink in instructions) tie this balloon into the first two pinch twists that you made with the white balloon, measure a 20 finger bubble and then do a 3 finger pinch twist.

Measure a 10 finger loop twist and secure this into the pinch twist, make another 4 finger bubble and then finally two 3 finger pinch twists and discard the rest of the balloon.
Attach the white 4 finger bubble into the two pinch twists of the pink balloon.

Using a 260 balloon for the inner part of the guitar inflate and leave 6/7 fingers un-inflated. Twist the knot into the end of the guitar with two white pinch twists, twist a 3 finger bubble followed by two, 2 finger pinch twists.

Twist approx an 8 finger bubble and then two more 2 finger pinch twists and then twist a 4 finger bubble around the two pink 360 pinch twists. Bring a 4 finger bubble back to the two pinch twists, then measure another 8 finger bubble into the second set of pinch twists and then the last 3 finger bubble wrapped into the 360 white pinch twists.
The shape of the guitar will not come until you really stretch a balloon between the two sets of 260 pinch twists.

To get the shape of the guitar wrap an un-inflated balloon around one set of pinch twists and roll this around so that it starts to look like a piece of string, really stretch this over to the other set of pinch twists. I do this twice so that it helps to hold the guitars shape better.

Inflate two 260's leaving 5 fingers un-inflated, tie these together and twist into the two pink pinch twists in the 360. Measure a 25 ginger bubble in both balloons and twist together, twist two, 2 finger pinch twists.

At this point you can choose one of two ways to go, either as per the original picture of three two finger bubbles and a 2 finger pinch twist followed by the last 3 finger bubble, discard the rest of this 260 balloon. Then do the same with the other 260, three, 2 finger bubbles, a 2 finger pinch twist and then the 3 finger bubble and discard the rest of the balloon. Twist both of the 3 finger bubbles into the last pinch twist of both balloons. The 160 balloon then holds everything together and has a two finger bubble, then two, 1 finger pinch twists followed by a 2 finger bubble and two more 1 finger pinch twists and then the last two finger bubble. Repeat this again for the second set.

Or you can follow along to the way I've done the instructions;
After the two pinch twists, twist a 2 finger bubble followed by two 1 finger pinch twists,  do this to both 260 balloons, grey and yellow in the picture.

Forgot to mention about putting three un-inflated balloons around the two 260's to hold this all together.

Twist another 2 finger bubble and two more 1 finger pinch twists in both of the balloons, then a 2 finger bubble and a 1 finger pinch twist in both balloons and finally a 3 finger bubble and discard the rest of both balloons.
Twist both of the 3 finger bubbles into the last pinch twist of the other balloon.
Using a 160 twist a 2 finger bubble around the two pinch twists, then a finger bubble twisted into the other with a 2 finger bubble and discard the rest, repeat for the second one.

Finished guitar should hopefully look a little like this?
Would be nice to see some more guitars if anyone is going to attempt this with the instructions.

In the origianl picture there are some extra pinch twists around the 10 finger 360 fold twists with a different colour balloon and the top of the guitar is built slightly differently, next to the ladies left hand we have four pinch twists with two again being in a different colour.

I've used all different colours for the instructions to hopefully help out if anyone does attempt to make this  :) Also if you have a six string guitar you will need extra (whatever there called) so you could add into the top pinch twist on either side or where the two pinch twists hold the two 260's together. Would be nice to see a few variations.
