Post by: Graham Lee on April 29, 2020, 06:08:09 PM
This month we have gone with the Owl design for the model of the month.
The Owl started off as a heart and evolved.
I will add the instructions shortly.

If you use a non chrome balloon you might have to pre-stretch
the balloon as the chromes are generally 3/4 fingers longer.

Inflate both chrome 260's leaving 7 fingers under inflated.
Make two very soft 1.5 finger pinch twists, this is the centre of the Owl.
Make two 4 finger bubble and twist back into the two pinch twists.

Start then with the other 260, make a 1 finger bubble and push
this through the top of the two 4 finger bubbles.

Make a 1.5 finger pinch twist followed by a 2 finger bubble. The balloon from the
centre of the Owl make a 3 finger bubble and twist with the two finger outer
bubble. Then make a 3 finger bubble and twist back into the centre of the owl.

Make another 3 finger bubble from the centre of the Owl and a 3
finger bubble from the outer balloon and twist these together.

Which ever is the longer balloon twist another 3 finger bubble back to the centre of the Owl.

You now need a 4 finger bubble from the centre of the Owl followed by a 1.5 finger pinch twist.
This is to attach the feet of the Owl later.

Which ever is the longer balloon twist a 3 finger bubble to the centre of the Owl.

Make another 3 finger bubble from the centre of the Owl balloon and
a 3 finger bubble in the side balloon and twist these together.

With the longer balloon make a 3 finger bubble and twist back to the centre of the Owl.

You now need a 4 finger bubble from the centre of the Owl followed by a 1.5 finger pinch twist.
In the outer balloon make a 2 finger bubble and twist into the pinch twist.

You then need the last 4 finger bubble twisted into the centre of the Owl.
This is why the two pinch twists in centre of Owl should be very soft.

Deflate the balloon in the centre and discard the rest of the balloon.

The other balloon by the pinch twist deflate.

Run the excess from this balloon into the centre pinch twists and secure
This helps the ears sit up better.

Deflate the 1 finger bubble on the other ear pinch twist
and wrap the excess into the two centre pinch twists.

Inflate the 160 orange about half way, make two 3 finger fold twists for the feet.

Attach the feet to the lower central pinch twist.

Make a 2 finger and 1.5 finger bubble for the Owls beak.

Tie the beak around the two centre pinch twists.

For the eyes make two 3 finger bubbles for each eye.
I put the knot side nearest the centre of the Owl to hide the knot.

Push the eyes between the 4 and 3 finger bubbles and into position.

Add some artwork and some white Edding as required.

Hope the Owl worked out OK for you.
