I thought we would carry on model of the month for a while so please join in with your attempt and perhaps have a go at some of the other competitions that are taking place as there are some excellent prizes to win. I will put the instructions up near the end of the month.

Good job Rhian, how the heck are you supposed to keep that darn shell tucked in.  Mine kept popping out and I had to hurry to take the picture!

The shell has to be rolled from the back of the snail and not the front, this way his head sits nicer. The four sets of bubbles that the shell sits into should be a little smaller perhaps and then it's a nice tight push fit and will not keep popping out. That is why I do two rows to push the shell into as the snail with just one row for me always did not stay in place.

OK, Graham, I've spent the last hour and a half trying to get a reasonable face, but I am no further ahead (except I know what DOESN"T work). How about one small hint: what is the first bubble?

I believe I started with the four cheek bubbles or was it two cheek bubbles and then a pinch twist and two more cheek bubbles.

hello millarart,
not sure my head was correct,or that good. but-
i made four bubbles, tying knot  at twist. after forth bubble, followed buy three more bubbles, which rolled over first four ( eyes and antena's passed through between both sets of bubbles).  and twisted at front, the rest comes down for the neck, from between first four bubbles.
not sure if this helps you.
