The challenge for this month will be the two balloon panda. I will put the step by step instructions up next week.

You can either have a go at making the panda just for fun or if you do buy from the websites in the header above
we will put your name into the hat for the chance to win a balloon modelling DVD.
We have the prize draw and a new model every month.

OH DEAR! I have been playing with the panda design tonight, a slight variation on all of them. Trouble is I'm not sure which one to explain.
I'm posting 5 new ones here and just made another new one which I need to go and get a picture off.

The first panda is a 350 and then the last one I made in Ivory and not white.

These two are both in Ivory which I think in the flesh works well rather than white.

All together.

I liked these two the best I think, that is apart from the original. I still have a soft spot for that one as well.

Well I expect you have been sitting on the edge of your seats all night wondering what Panda design I was going to choose?
You weren't? I did realise  ;)

I decided to go with this one.

I have photographed all the instructions and will post them up tomorrow, busy doing accounts and VAT today, see it's an exciting life I lead  :)

This is it in 260 and 350, balloons in the complimentary packs will be for making it out of 260's.

Here we go then with the details for the panda,

Inflate the white 260 balloon leaving 6 fingers un-inflated and the black 260 leaving 7 fingers un-inflated.
As you can see in the picture lave a good excess section at the knot, I tie these around the ears later to secure the head more firmly together.

Start with the black balloon and make a 3 finger bubble, a 2 finger pinch twist.
Then another 3 finger bubble for the top section of the back of the head and then another 2 finger pinch twist for the other ear.

Then twist the last 3 finger bubble for the other side of the face. This last twist goes around the white balloon to secure into place.

The white balloon, twist a 4 finger bubble and twist into the first ear, then another 4 finger bubble into the second ear.

Twist the last 4 finger bubble around the black 260 to secure into place.

You can now make sure that both knots on the balloon and wrapped so the neck joint is nice and secure and take one of the ends of the balloon
up to one of the ears and the other knot to the other ear. Hopefully you can see the ends behind the ears in the picture, picture 8

The black balloon then needs two 4 finger bubbles and a 1 finger pinch twist. this will be the bottom section of the panda.

Twist two more 4 finger bubbles and twist around the neck section of the panda. I like to make the body of the panda 1 finger longer so the body bubble
should be a 5 finger bubble and twist this into the bottom black pinch twist.

You then need another 5 finger bubble for one part of the rear section of the body, secure into the neck section.

We now need to push the air up the black balloon so that there is a non-inflated section on the black, picture 14 shows this a little clearer.

You then have to make a 2 finger pinch twist for the nose, this should sit comfortably in the middle of the head section due to the un-inflated black 260 giving you a little play.

You need a 1.5 finger bubble for one of the eyes that will be twisted into the ear pinch twist section.
You then need to squeeze the air along the black 260 so that it stretches to the other ear, similar to the un-inflated on the nose.
Then the last 1.5 finger bubble for the other eye.

Deflate the rest of the black 260 and leave the excess.

The excess of the 260, wrap this up to one of the ears, along the top of the head and around the second ear and then back to the nose, it all helps to secure everything into place

Picture 19 is after the excess 260 is wrapped as above, the nose sits nicely in the centre of the head.

You then need approx. a 6 finger fold twist, I pictured the fold twist but when I make the panda I actually wrap the balloon around the nose while squeezing the air along so that the 260 that goes over the nose is a very softer bubble and thinner.

You could possible make the 6 finger fold twist and wrap this up and over the nose, then pull the nose up a little to secure the white 260 into position.

I like the nose pinch twist from side to side rather than up and down.
