Title: Buying A New Car
Post by: Graham Lee on October 08, 2017, 11:06:11 AM
I was going to post my blog here about buying a new car and the stress.
It will not copy here for some reason and I do not want to re-write it so
here is the link if anyone would like to have a read.

FOR SALE, I have been spruccing the car up this morning.
All washed and waxed, I will do the back to black bumper spray later this afternoon
if it does not rain. It's a fiat 1.9 Doblo, top of the range with alloy wheels, air conditioning,
electric mirrors and a few other added items as well. Has 109000 on the clock and has been
well looked after by myself for the past seven years. Please PM with any other questions.

I tried to get the alloy wheels nice and shiny yesterday with no luck so I went and purchased
a dedicated alloy wheel cleaner that said it had won 13 awards for best product etc,

Well to my surprise it was bloody brilliant and definitely did the job,
It's called wonder wheels.

I set off yesterday morning to go and pick up the new second hand car.
So can you guess what station you have to go to too travel down to St Austell?

The train journey was fine but was very busy, I did manage to get a seat.
But I forgot to buy a paper to read but did get some nibbles in M&S for on the way down.

Coming home was fine till Junction 4a of the M3 that was closed so we went off on a nice detour
of the countryside and back onto the M3 a few junctions up I think.

Then the M25 was stationary at Weybridge so I came off there as I do
know my way home from there with all the back doubles as they say.

It added a further 45 mins to the journey but we got home safe and sound which
is the main thing just after 12 mid night.

Trying to sell a car is fun?

I have had two people from gumtree offer me 1100 pounds without even seeing the car.
Assuming if someone has had there car up for sale for some time then they may consider it.

I then had someone book in to come and view and they had to cancel twice, booked in again
this morning and they did turn up and again offered silly money and commenting about
a few fictional problems with Fiat's and Doblo's and then offered 1500 pounds

I smiled and thanked them, in fact he was standing outside my house for 10 mins so I asked if he
was OK and his uber taxi ride had cancelled so I offered to drive him home to Mitcham which I did.

Then we have just had someone knock at the door offering 1000 pound cash for the
car before we have even started it up, so again I thanked them and declined.

We now have someone coming down from Bishops Stortford to view, so fingers
crossed they are a serious buyer. I will tell you a little more about this person later,
I do not want to tempt fate.

St Austell station looked like it could do with a couple of coats of paint.

The person who brought the car out for me did look a little like postman pat
with his glass's on and with the new car being on the dark red side, he he.
