Hi everyone,

I have been asked to take a group of mums dads and beaver scouts ans do some balloons modelling with them on the theme of Pirates...

I am totally stuck ... head has gone blank and Getting worried as its next week....ARGHHHH.....

The models must be fairly simple as they all have to make them , Obviously the kids will have at least one parents help....

All ideas and help is gratefully received.

Many thanks

Stuart

Hi Stuart,
I've done twisting workshops with kids & parents.
Keep it really simple.

A sword, a pirate hat, maybe a sword belt.

What about a hook? Parrot?

a ride in ship - but v. simple?

good luck!

Danny ;)

Thanks guys and girls...

After many sleepless nights I decided to do a hat , sword , "pop" gun , and maybe a parrot....

In Fact what I ended up doing was the following..

I made a maze from balloons and got the mums , dads and kids to follow the instructions to the treasure, This was followed by them having 25 balloons each and making a pirate ship they could all ( groups of 10) fit into.

We then made a sword each and had them sail thier boat down a line and try and kill each other with thier swords... a bit like jousting.

So many laughs that at one stage we had a couple of adults and kids in tears from laughing so much...

If you want to know more then please ask and I will go through stage by stage ...

Thanks again

Stuart
