If you are going to be spending a lot of time without natural light, and looking at colours too, high CRI LED lights would be much nicer and easier to work under than ordinary strip light. High CRI flourescent bulbs sold for photography might be an option too.

I don't usually do big stuff.
I've had an inquiry for a balloon truck of about 6x4 feet for November.
If I decided to do it, I'm confident that I would be ready to do it by the time it's needed, and the challenge would be interesting. I'd need to hire a van to deliver it I guess (Staffordshire)

Would anyone be prepared to give me an idea of what they would charge for something like this?
If not, and you are interested in doing it yourself, let me know and I'll pass your details on if I decide not to do it.

Ta.

Anyone heading up from the Wirral? If you would care to save me from the vagaries of public transport I would appreciate it.

Quote from: "Graham Lee".....at £1.75 you can't go wrong.

£1.75 Amazon voucher is what you get if you trade your copy in.
£12.27 + £2.80 UK delivery is the cheapest secondhand copy they will sell you, at present.

Try stretching an uninflated dark balloon to get a better idea of its colour

Orange 260qs (solid colour) seem to inflate significantly smaller than other colours. This is pants.
Do sempertex orange 260s do any better?

Balloon Chit Chat / Macpump O ring replacement
May 12, 2014, 05:57:52 PM
My Macpump light has been well used, and I reckon the O ring could do with a change. Anyone  know what I should replace it with?

Pink 260s seem particularly short at the moment.

Try a bag for yourself. Sempertex feel a bit different and there are some different colours. You may like them; it's largely down to subjective preference.

The right angled nozzle looks interesting, I'd be curious to try one out.
Are these produced in UK?
I've been thinking about producing floor pumps myself. Are there any features that would be particularly useful to you?

I'm an NLP practitioner. Phobia resolution a speciality. I've sorted out fears of flying, heights, boats, dwarves, sponges, bridges, spiders, fireworks, pigeons, ballpoint pens and all sorts of curious stuff. Never a fear of balloons or clowns though.

I usually mention that real butterflies have really long tongues before finishing this one. Gets lots of "oohs" from grown-ups.
Far from the most technical of balloons, but speed and sculptural effect create a lot of the magic

Wearing crocs and pumping latex is a recipe for static to challenge Reals

May 05, 2013, 06:43:20 PM
Having nearly taken someones eye out with my floor pump while carrying it on my back, I have created this custom engineeered nozzle safety cover.
