Picture Gallery / Camel
« on: March 12, 2020, 03:32:35 PM »
I was having a play with making a Camel.
This has a tulip side wall bubble raisen twist to join the neck and body together.
Vadim at the BBB had three designs using this,
his elaborate Camel, the Rhino and Whale.

I found it did not give the design enough movement and went for plan B later in the day.

Model Of The Month / March Model of the Month (Cowboy Gun)
« on: February 28, 2020, 05:14:14 PM »
I was going with an Owl design for this month but decided to enter it into a
competition next week so we are now onto plan B, the Cowboy Gun.
The Owl will be for April now.

Enclosed in all the balloon orders for March will be the complimentary pack of balloons.
If you do use a grey balloon and not the Silver Chrome you may need to scale it
all down as the chrome balloon is approx. 4 fingers longer when inflated.

The gun uses 1, 260 Chrome Silver and 1, 260 Mocha
I have added an extra Chrome Silver to the bags.

Model Of The Month / February Model of the Month (Pterodactyl)
« on: February 01, 2020, 10:42:46 AM »
This month we are going with a Dinosaur theme and having the Pterodactyl
as the model of the month for February.

On the original design I did have feet and legs but I have been making this a lot over
the past couple of weekends and no one has said anything so I have streamlined
the design to have no legs. I have also on occasion put onto a clear 260
stick so they can fly the design around which was also very popular.

The first picture you can just make out the feet, the tail was made from the
remainder of the feet balloon and I only used one 260 for the wings.
Now I use two 260 to make the wings so much bigger
and use the ends of these for the tail.

Balloon Chit Chat / Re-Visiting
« on: January 27, 2020, 05:40:17 PM »
I thought I'd go back down memory lane a little and have a look at some of the older balloon
designs from model of the month. The first one I looked at and that caught my eye was
the guitar from May 2010 so nearly 10 years ago.
The original guitar was made for a photo shoot that we did for comic relief.

The instructions are here but I have changed the design slightly.

More pictures from the photo shoot are here,

The guitar below is for a left handed player.

Balloon Chit Chat / Abigail's Charity
« on: January 19, 2020, 09:01:00 PM »
Danielle Burnige, Simona Rad and myself worked an event last year together
for Abigail's charity. I'm in the video twice, you can just see the front of my
shirt in one shot and the back of my shirt in the other shot 😁😂

« on: January 19, 2020, 11:11:33 AM »
I'm having a play with a face design for something later in the year.
The lower face is to narrow so will add to the design.

Balloon Chit Chat / Balloon Chat Off Line
« on: January 18, 2020, 09:35:21 PM »
Not sure how many noticed but balloon chat was off line for a couple of days.
We have 20GB of memory and 100 GB of storage and we filled it up so had
to get an extra 20GB of storage to hopefully last a couple more years.

We also had to take the forum back to Jan 15th so lost some posts.
I will double check and try to repost them tomorrow.

The other down side was we had the most people ever on line at 966 but
this got deleted due to the crash and going back a couple of days.
