Balloon Decor / Halloween decoration

Those were done over 2 weeks, where every morning I would concentrate on making giant pieces in different areas of the mall while doing kids animations and shows in front of the magical tree + house every afternoon.

Some rather classical looking pumpkins:

Those pumpkins were at the feet of the magical tree, which was itself in the garden of the (nice) witch:

But this other witch was not nice at all :

Neither was this menacing vampire :

The skeleton on the other hand was quite happy go lucky :

But the nicest of all was this chap :

Here are some of the original creations that inspired me greatly or that I simply copied :

From BalloonsIT:

From Crazy Balloons

From Larry Moss' Ballon Manor

And from  Daniel Mc Cullough on this forum

Thanks for your inspiration :)

Welcome / Warm greetings from France

Hi fellow ballooners, I have been lurking from time to time on this forum (one of my favorite, together with http://www.balloonforum.fr) for at least a couple years but never took the time to actually register.

It is now done! Better late than never.

I started balloon twisting very timidly about 15 years ago with the classic doggy, and I still remember how scared I was that it would pop in my hands. I used to be a puppeteer and a balloon beginner's kit had been offered to me by a friend who thought it would be a good idea to offer balloon sculptures to the children after my puppet shows.

One thing led to another and I eventually entirely stopped puppets to be able to zero in full-time on ballooning. Now it is true that what I thoroughly enjoyed the most about puppets, was the actual creation of the characters and the backstage decors more than the actual playing. And balloon art is an amazing, never ending, outlet for manual creativity.

I do twisting, decoration and have a little show, but what I really enjoy the most is thematic performances.

Here is a couple photos of my last creation a couple days ago in Brest (West of France) for an IKEA restaurant who was having a special crayfish evening event. I used probably a bit less than 300 balloons for nearly 6 hours on this crayfish (I know... it would have been better in red) which is about 4 meters long.

Have a nice day! :)
