Topic/Discussion Of The Month / Re: GLOVES
September 18, 2008, 11:52:44 PM
My opinion probably does not matter much because I sometimes wear white gloves (with my suit) when I am doing my finger flicking.  Since I have only just started balloon work this week I have not tried gloves as of yet.

I was not even aware you could book a Ice Cream van.  I know you can get them for fetes and the like but not a private event.

Balloon Chit Chat / Re: Clown balloon by-pass

Very good, anyone notice that its laughing gas being put into the clown.  I bet this would make an interesting effect for a duet to have a pretend operation and pull out prizes and animals ect for a birthday party, you could even have the child be the 'patient' but I do not no about this as I am not a children's entertainer.

That is very cool, but whoever came up with the idea of putting 90% vertical stairs needs his/her head examined.

I get a laugh thinking about how the builders trying to make that stairway thinking to themselves 'What have we gotten ourselves into'.

I am currently working on a new site //http://www.tennantmagic.co.uk (small plug!)
it is not running properly as of yet however it has cost me only £9 (plus VAT so about £10.58? tops).  I used to when I was younger design forums for a small income and found them a great way to promote myself (for doing more forums I did not do magic at the time) as I placed affiliate bars on all of them so everyone with a site would be plugging each other and communities would grow.
I use Dreamweaver for my site and I recommend using Invisionfree for forum design (again I am willing to help with set up but I no longer run forums on peoples behalf, only create and fix problems).
If anyone wants any help then feel free to contact me via e-mail anytime they want.

Balloon Tutorial & Help / Silly question.
September 18, 2008, 04:42:59 PM
I apologize if this comes across as a silly question.
Whenever I try to do a Pinch Twist (Teddy/Ear Twist), all the air seems to go leaving me with a teddy or whatever I am doing with no ear.
Does anyone know why this is happening, how I can stop it or am I doing something drastically wrong?

Thanks

This is very nice, I hope to be able to do the same sorts of things someday howver I think I had better start with dogs and giraffes.

I bought my ticket for £15 at Sempertex, will it come in the post or do I print the invoice for proof?

Welcome / Hi There
September 15, 2008, 03:54:24 PM
Hi my name is Chris Tennant,
I have been performing magic for 3 years now and I am making the move to professional status soon with any luck.
I have recently been interested in balloon art, sculpture and magic as I believe it will enhance my own repertoire and I am interested in learning and trying new things.
I live in the UK in Paignton (Devon).
I am currently a member of the Devon Magic Circle and Riviera Circle of Magicians.
My first foray into balloon magic will be on the 17th at the share and care day in Exeter.
If anyone has any advice, tips or just want to say hi please message me or leave a comment.

Thanks

Chris Tennant
