I love these little simple designs.  Like Thelma mentioned, its often hard to let go of the 'detail' of the subject, but often the recipients are just as happy with a cute design that takes less time...

Nice Graham.  The head is similar to one I have designed but I have two large pinch-twists at the base of the head and loop that goes round the whole head.  Sometimes this doesn't sit quite right, does this one sit easily at the neck joint?

So impressed with this.  I'm always lamenting the lack of colour choices for caterpillars, will have to carry some more white 646's with me again...

PS  if you wanted more dress detail, would ivory silk work or is the colour too different?

Nice work.  I like the simple but highly effective epaulettes, I don't like the way I have no idea if I can spell epaulettes correctly or not, but they work well on this design...

5" rounds are awesome.  On top of everyone else's suggestions, 5" rounds are also good for stuffing with salt/sugar to make balloon rattles.

They are quite fun to partially inflate, tie, and then inflate the second portion.  This good for bumble beebodies, making soft noses in the middle of faces etc.

They can also be used for what can be called mini-distortions, with 160 or 260 bubbles stuffed inside to get unusual shapes.

And stuffing them inside a clear round, heart or 350/656, inflating them a little, then tying them off.   Release the knot inside the clear and inflate the larger balloon around them to have them float free within the clear.

I also love making wheels for bikes and motorbikes by puff inflating a 5" round, tying it off with a lot of neck behind the knot.  Then 1/4 inflate another 5" round, and tulip twist the puffed piece through the top of the balloon so it comes out where the knot on the larger round is.  This leaves a nice round wheel, with two balloon necks, on on each side, for easy attachments.

Great work, Jami.

While not the most complex of your pieces, I love the chubby, chunky little rabbit in the basket.  So much character, and he looks like he has eaten way to many easter eggs.   :)

A little experiment as part of my wife's birthday recently. (Actually, I bought her a car, and this was gifted by one of our sons to her on the day.)

Graham.  I especially love the white and black paws and feet on your big one, haven't noticed it on other designs and it really adds to the cute factor...

Thelma's comment about hiring a child minder is perfect.  I sometimes mention that I am not a qualified childcare worker but am happy to refer them to a service that is...

So for the self portrait she will bee in the chair?  If so you may only need to make 2 big wheels 2 small wheels and ether back poof the chair.

Graham,.those awesome tyres you posted recently could be a good start.  Do you have instructions or photos off them as they are being built?

Hi Minnie.

The simplest option is to have an inexpensive stand for each.

Otherwise you will need to design each sculpture with rigidity and make sure it isn't top heavy.

A long Balloon straw and cup hot glued upside down to a plate or saucer with a round balloon deflated around it is fast and fairly cheap.
