Balloon Tutorial & Help / Re: Usability of scraps

Chris,

At only 4-5 pence for a balloon using your tumble dryer to 'renew' them would appear to be not a particularly cost effective way to do this. Just a thought...

Martin.

More great service from Graham this week!

Order came very quickly even with Graham holding it until the out of stock items came back into stock. The 1 -hour window helped me too.

Thanks,
Martin.

New ones, I'll have to watch those... I love the soap opera of it all. I wasn't totally joking - although I do agree with everything Norman says about the ethics.

I believe the way that the model works in the US is that BD secures the bookings and the twisters then pay BD a fee to do the work, the twister then makes their money from the tips. The obvious flaw in the UK is that a model that works on tips is on to a non-starter.

I do honestly believe that there are variants of it that could work in the UK but I am not going to elaborate and my model will probably never be tested and so I guess I will never know.

Are they new Happy Cabbie vs. Balloon Distractions videos Graham or the ones from a few years ago?

There are also some Josh Sizemore vs. Balloon Distractions ones. Josh used to be fairly senior at Balloon Distractions.

At the risk of being lynched I have often wondered about a variant of the Balloon Distractions business model within the UK...

Balloon Chit Chat / Re: Conwin clip on cutters
December 03, 2012, 05:21:01 PM
Thanks for all the help and suggestions on this.

I have tried the 'fish' safety cutters before but once you get used to the Conwin one being clipped to a pocket then I find you really depend on it. I had lost mine on Saturday when I posted and was in a mild state of panic as I knew I would be working all afternoon without it.

Anyway it turned up and so I am now hoping to survive until Graham may have some and then get a few new ones.

Cheers,
Martin.

p.s. Kevin (Pheonix) - thanks, that really was a nice offer!

Does anyone know anywhere that stocks these and does not have a minimum order requirement?

Thanks,
Martin.

Dreemway in Chorlton is your best bet if you are trying to purchase in MCR

I think the biggest issue for you Graham will be finding an available web domain that is both simple and closely matches whatever name you come up with.

You may as well start with the domain and work backwards.

Balloon Tutorial & Help / Re: Best balloon pump

Quote from: "tangoo"Filbert floor pumps are very well liked by their owners. They cost a little more and can be harder to find.

I don't think there is anybody that has been anything other than delighted with a Filbert.

Jason Secoda made a fantastic break dancer at Twist & Shout a couple of years ago.

Google him and I am sure you will find the photo
