Thanks for the day today Graham, I and everyone I spoke to had a great time... I was just disappointed that I had to leave early to go visit the missus in hospital :(

I especially enjoyed Daniel's workshop and what I saw of your afternoon slot... also great to meet Neil (Fairby)from this forum 8-); but the day was well worth it if only for the adhoc tips I picked up from Daniel and yourself (Not to mention the sackload of Sempertex I came away with ;) )

For me one of the eye opening things from the day is what a broad spectrum of people are into the world of balloon twisting... and for quite a myriad of different reasons.

Hope to see you in the NW again soon.

Thanks!
Martin.

Thanks for your investigations Graham,

Your comments about violet are very relevant as I discovered the yellow when trying to braid a yellow and violet together and so the difference was probably exacerbated; otherwise I guess I would have never noticed!

Balloon Chit Chat / Yellow Sempertex 260s

Graham,

Apologies if this is a dumb question...

Why are the yellow 260s in my pack of Sempertex about 5" shorter than all the other colours? Is this a known phenomenon?

Thanks,
Martin.

Billy,

Can you explain what is happening on the back of your head design of the guy sitting in the toilet?

I can suss how to make the front, but cannot see how to get the neck out centrally at the back.

Thanks,
Martin.

Well I made my 1st balloon person that doesn't resemble the Michelin Man and so I thought I would post for feedback.

The body is very basic as it was just knocked up to have something to fix the head to; if anyone can offer guidance on a better body, or enhancements to the head then that would be cool.

Different hairstyle ideas would be great too!

Thanks Graham,

I just made a MkII of this which I am a lot happier with, should've waited to post pics of that one really as it looks the biz.

The only bit I still struggled with getting exact to yours was the tie-ing off of the final twist of the head.

Don't think this is too bad as a 1st attempt.

I reckon I have 2 bubbles that Graham doesn't have and the consistency of the braid could be better too!

Oh and the ears... think he's been on the pop... not to mention losing his tail!

Hi,

My name is Martin.

I started twisting about a month ago as I am a chronic 'in-sourcer' and I want to give my daughter a balloon birthday party in a few months.

Be gentle... I'm learning!

Martin.
