Balloon Chit Chat / Re: Paul Brown, Hulk Costome

Randomly the programme was on when I was leaving for a booking on Saturday and they mentioned having a balloon modeller on, so I recorded it! First and last time of watching :D but the Hulk looked great.

Anyone who gets to punch Gaby Roslin gets my vote too

Balloon Chit Chat / Balloon games/team building
July 29, 2013, 11:39:05 AM
Hi all, I've been booked to work in a summer school on Thursday and have just had a request from the client to see if it would be possible to do a few games/team building exercises with the kids. They're all age 10/11 and I will have a 45 minute session with a group of 20, then a 2nd session with a different group.

Does anyone have any great games that they know would work with this kind of age group? I think she was thinking along the lines of me showing them how to make something that looks good and maybe splitting them into teams to get each team to recreate it, I suppose a bit like the Generation Game.

I was thinking of maybe spending half an hour showing them a few different flower designs and then seeing which group could make the most/biggest bouquet in the final 15 mins.

or maybe doing something wearable??

Any ideas would be very much welcomed! Thanks, Lisa

Oh what a shame, but at least the kids were happy with the car. The client doesn't realised what they've missed out on!!

I had to do a racing car for the first time this weekend. It took a few hours as I wasn't sure myself how to do one, so just made it up after looking at a variety of piccies. The birthday 'boy' was really happy by all accounts, but I would tweak it a bit if I did it again. I was happy with the final result though.

It's not me selling it, but it might be a cheaper investment for someone starting out.

Well I did my version (to be honest yours was a perfect example Withatwist so couldn't improve on it   ) I just added him swinging through the trees as most of his pics showed him like that.

They were more than happy with it anyway! Thanks for the inspiration.

Hiya,

Just had a call from someone who runs the local Conservative Club and they've asked for a display model for tomorrow! It's the clubs 120th birthday and they've having decor balloons, plus want a special sculpture creating.

They're not specific on the brief, but just want it to relay that they are a pub/social environment.

I have thought of a model of a bar, with maybe a barmaid behind and someone propping the bar up, but other than that I'm a bit stuck. Any genius ideas out there?

I'm going to have to do it this evening as I'm working all day tomorrow, hence the urgency :)

thanks in advance!

I know exactly what it is, but can't guess as I've got 3 full day bookings so not a minute to make anything and don't want to hold the game up again

It's great!

Sorry folks, I had a v.last minute job come in and then I was away on holiday, only got back last night and had no signal at all while being away (bliss!!), been working today and it this is the first chance I have had to get online since getting Martin's replacement words.

Sorry to hold up the game but life took over on this occasion.
