I will be attending the face painting convention in Birmingham and will be running an informal evening on the first night, jam and lecture with a stand as well promoting balloons, our beloved artform. I may need to leave Sunday morning as I've applied to enter the magic circle "Stage Magician of the Year" competition which takes place on the Sunday night in London
BUT! I may not have to leave early as last time I entered I was told the act was not of a suitable standard..........still you have to keep smiling.

Looks like I will be attending the NABAS show at Stoneleigh Park on the 16/17th Oct and will be either doing some lectures or even a mini care & share day. So perhaps a good day for all those that keep telling me that if only a care & share day was on at a weekend they would attend. Hopefully their website; http://www.nabas.co.uk/show/index.php will be updated soon with events that are planned and happening being added ASAP.

As this was on last years thread I thought we better start a new one. The day is planned for Thursday 7th Oct and will be £10 to attend if booked by the end of September 27th, after this date the price will be £20. Hopefully everyone will book early    As Lyn and I sponsor the day we do need a minimum of 15 booked for the day to go ahead as this helps to cover our costs, hotel, hall and diesel. Many years ago I was on a show called pot of gold with Des O'Connor, they had I think 5 acts on the main show and then 6 wannabees doing a short 30 secs with two progressing to the main show. This has come up as I was on the show with Paul Burling the impressionist who got through to the final of Britians Got Talent. Someone got in touch from Thailand to tell me that they had seen the clip.

After a suggestion from Yvonne we will be putting a photo album on the site in the next few days. You can then upload all of your own pictures to the album so it can act as a portfolio for yourself.

You will be able to see the album link under all the posts where it says PM, edit, profile etc but it will only click thru and be viewable if you are logged into the forum. It is a template and comes as seen.

I have only seen the one on the face painting chat website and was after knowing if anyone else has seen any others on other forums that may be better for us to use.

A good friend is flying over from Japan and is spending a few days in the UK and I've said I would arrange a jam/fun balloon day in her honour, we meet up at The Millennium Jam, Twist & Shout and Diane even flew out to China for the balloon festival last year. There is a picture of us both having a foot massage.
We are looking into the day being probably on Friday 30th July but this may change when she confirms all her flight details as she in in and out of Europe while here as well,  as she is flying in and out of London the day will be in Banstead.
It will be free to attend but donations towards the cost of the hall and balloons would be appreciated.

I just purchased a new kit via Ebay and just love the name, Brilliantly Bendy    Makes me smile every time. Unfortunately they were advertised as unused but the balloons have been opened and one wrapped around the pump. Like a lot of these kits the box is stunning and the contents very poor, no wonder so many give up, why go to all that troublke to produce a product and get it to market and then put poor content into the box.

I have bought a website name last year and am not sure what to do with it, I must say I bought it for a joke and not as a serious website as thoughs who know me will know that it's not me, well hopefully they do
