One set of wings will be softer and it's this pair that you need to add an extra twist into on the wings to give more shape, about a one to two third split.
You then need an orange balloon, I used approx 3/4 of the balloon with a 2/3 finger bubble and tie a knot in the centre, attach around the two top pinch twists.
You can either have a knot at both ends as per the instructions or use two seperate ends, personally I prefer not to have a knot at one end and no knot at the other end.

You then have to half one side of the figure of eight and twist into the back pinch twist, this is why the last section of balloon had to be very soft.
If your balloon is too tight then start again and inflate another balloon and this time leave 5 fingers un-inflated.
Shape the wings by hand pressure or breathing onto the balloon.
There is a section under tutorial about pressure/friction shaping; friction-twist-shaping-t1092.html

Then twist the other section of the figure of eight so that you have four seperate wings.

Then twist another 1 finger bubble followed by a 2 finger pinch twist, this pinch twist will help hold the wings in place. Push the air along to the end of the balloon so that this section is very soft, twist the end of the balloon into the pinch twist, you could even tie it to the nozzle of the balloon.
The big loop needs to be divided in equal halves and twisted into a figure of eight with the centre point going around the pinch twist

Inflate a green balloon for the wings leaving 4 fingers un-inflated, I pre=stretched the balloon before inflation and stretched it again after it was inflated.
This is the shape of the wings we are looking for, took the picture not attached to the body for a clearer view.
Twist a 1 finger bubble and twist this around the top pinch twists of the body.

Then twist a 2/3 finger bubble for the body, two more 2 finger pinch twists and then leave a 4/5 finger bubble for the tail and discard the rest of the balloon.

You can get rid of the knot by only using half of the balloon and leaving approx 6/7 finger bubble un-inflated and having a 12 finger length inflated as per the second picture, if you would prefer to get rid of the stinger part shape then just leave 5/6 fingers un-inflated of the balloon. This will be a trial and error process but after 2.3 goes you should know exactly how much to inflate the balloon and how much not to inflate.

Instructions for the butterfly  :D

Inflate the yellow balloon leaving 8/9 fingers un-inflated, twist two 2 finger pinch twists and a large4/5 finger pinch twist for the mouth. Twist a 2 finger bubble followed by two more 2 finger pinch twists, the wings will attach at this point later.

Heather it would depend on if you twist them a one balloon sword or a 20 balloons masterpiece, probably worth working out what a fair tip would be per balloon used in the model.

I think the plan is for membership to start from April with David Brenion being the first lecture, I have booked Shirley for the Darlington day but we never spoke about recording the session as the day was booked before any mention of a club.

Many thanks for the positive feedback about the club, as for names I rather like twist together made from balloons the t from twist and the t from together can be twisted around We Care and the last t from twist and the r from together could be twisted as well,

TWIST
We Care
TOGETHER
We Share

All central with twist together in one colour or multi and we care we share in one bold colour so it would also read we care, together we share.
All other suggestions are welcomed.

If someone had a few minutes and was good with photoshop perhaps we could get a mock up??

So with one bike and one butterfly entry I have made an executive decision and will explain the butterfly as there were two made in the picture sent in.

Oh well as they say in for a penny, in for a pound. I have put details up about joining the club, http://www.balloonartwholesale.co.uk/produ ... 54-23.html
Even though there are many things still to be decided, name, rules etc.
The cost on the site is £105 to take into account PayPal charges, if anyone would like to send a cheque or do a bank transfer it will be £99.
It would be nice if the main lecture day in Birmingham which will also double as "The David Grist Memorial Lecture" would also be our party day as it will be the most central one for people to attend. So if we go with this perhaps we can add a buffet lunch to this day, club funds permitting.
