From Twistina's Five Minute Balloon Delights Volume 1  - my first creation from the instructions - very pleased if I had the right colors would be even better (just one week till I my dad brings me a whole new stash of balloons!)

I have been twisting for exactly one month (so I would say a beginner) -  the resources I have used are Qualatex Balloon Magic book (which I really don't like at all) and a few other books from the library as well as the internet.  I had been wanting to try some more interesting stuff and DVD's at the moment don't appeal to me as I am too impatient and quite like the book instructions - so I got your Volume 1 yesterday.  This morning I did my first creation - The Mermaid (picked by my toddler) - I didn't have quite the right colors but am really pleased with the result - as is my daughter!  I found your instructions great and comprehensive -  and ok it didn't take me five minutes maybe 15 but if I tried again think could do in 5 (especially if my helpful toddler wasn't around)

Cool - before my balloon obsession my thing was designing fabrics on Spoonflower - now I am combining the two and making some fabrics from photos of my balloon models - aim to make an I Spy cheater quilt featuring balloon models, plus a few T-Shirts for my little ones.   Won't be doing balloon dogs though as that seems to be a popular motif already, and there are just so many more interesting balloon creations out there.

Wow - the platypus is amazing, I was going to use word platypus in the Make It game but thought would be too difficult! Seems there is nothing that can't be done with balloons and imagination is only limit.

Agree that balloon flowers are so much better.  

Anna - your vase looks great so nice and straight mine was all a bit twisted!  

Had another go today as my two year old wanted her own one and flower after seeing the first - less twisted this time but balloons too tight so rather unfinished at the top - 2 year old wanted it taller apparently and a different colour - typical!!!

Graham has it - here was my attempt in a more appropriate colour - think it looks less Hippo like though

Ok here goes need to find a more appropriate colour and have another go but in the meantime.

Oh meant to clarify I didn't mean we should put pics on here - just on Instagram if there are any other Instagram fans on here.  All sorts of blogs etc are doing them on Instagram as a form of publicity and just thought might be a fun way for this forum/website to promote itself.
