This is a neat design. You need to be fairly exact with the nose and body and I should have done the eyes a bit bigger to avoid the noticeable gap at the top.
I also had no mocha 160 but I don't think the design suffered.
Thanks Graham

I have been away from balloons for a while and whilst this is not a come back, I do keep looking in from time to time. I had time this week though to have a go and made a video tutorial for this bird (which I made a long time ago now).

Picture Gallery / Boxer

It has been ages since I got the balloons out. I don't seem to have much time these days. I was inspired by pictures Graham and Thelma posted yesterday and so came up with this boxer. Not great but at least I got to twisting.

My brother subscribes to digital spy and sent me the link to your work the other day. Think he thought I wouldn't have heard of you  :D

Very good Graham. I always think there should be an even thinner balloon for hands.

Had a chance to play today and decided to use a quicklink for part of the head so I could add hair with greater ease.
A bit more playing to be done but I like it so far

I was also awake Danny and made the black ninja on the basis of this free view. I then went ahead and bought the download in order to support CJ. At $5, it works out at a little over £3 in pounds sterling. Less than a pint!

Here was a recent bit of a turtle frenzy recently thanks to the release of a design by CJ Nelson. I purchased the video download from The Twisters Cook Book ($5) as I liked the design and could see me making this in the future. http://thetwisterscookbook.com/product/ ... ng-turtle/
The video is clear, well paced and easy to follow. The design itself is a real crowd pleaser and very obviously a Ninja Turtle.
All of the processes were simple enough for most twisters, though the balloons used may not be carried by everyone (larger rounds, 646,350).
I do not carry lime green in these sizes but did carry black so I used the techniques to create a black ninja. I later downsized the design (as suggested by CJ) making use of 5 inch round, 350, 260 and 160 to make a design that is awesome.
I did also use the same principals to make a tiny one from 160s.
The large version is very impressive and one that you will want to make.
The artwork on these is minimal which will please some of you out there.
My only difficulty with this download was getting it to play. This is not possible on an iPad or iPhone but when I moved to my laptop I had no problem downloading and playing with QuickTime.
I rate this design highly and recommend that you purchase it ASAP. A bargain at $5 (American).

Balloon Chit Chat / Re: Did you make your own website?
August 26, 2015, 11:05:57 PM
I did build my own website using weebly. It may not be as professional as it could be but it serves a purpose.
There are two arguments here.
1. You want to be able to have a presence on the internet so clients can find you, check out your services and contact you. Any website is better than no website in this instance.
2. First impressions count. Some people judge books by their cover and a poorly executed website can turn customers off. that said, not everyone does and some will take the information you supply and act upon it.
websites do take a lot of time to maintain in order to keep them fresh and current.i have fallen foul of this and need to address my tired website that contains old images and work that,  whilst good, has in some cases been surpassed. In other words it perhaps does not reflect me now.
If I were you, I would build it so you can refer people to it.  If you then decide to invest more in it,, this can be done a sand when funds become available. Keep it simple, keep it clear and minimise the number of pages (Home page or About us, services offered, gallery, contact page)
Good luck and don't just take my advice - it may turn out I know nothing)

Great stuff. As soon as he releases his video on the twisters cook book I shall be doing a review. It is a good design

If it is from an iPad, the fix I have found (and I do this for all photos I post on here) is to go to edit the photo. Rotate it 90 degrees and save. Then edit it again rotating it back to being upright (270 degrees) and save again. Essentially you have rotated it a full circle in two moves. It is now the same way up as you started but for some reason they will then load on here the right way up!!!

Balloon Chit Chat / Re: Qualatex/Sempertex Websites

As a hobbyist, I only order a few bags at a time and would certainly not be concerned about a day or two lag in postage if you were able to offer it at a slightly lower rate. I do appreciate that I might be in the minority though.
The option for a quicker delivery would also be a good idea for those rush jobs

I know this is later than you needed it but having just watched it, I think there may be two problems.
The first is that as you upscale to 350 you will not be able to create the same design with the same amount of balloon. You will probably get the head from one but will need another for the belly and tail. The same applies to the legs. So you may incorporate the back leg loops into the new belly and tail balloon instead of trying to get those out of the front and back leg balloon.
The second issue is again to do with upscaling. If you keep the proportions the same, there won't be enough space to roll the belly through. You need to increase the length of the front legs to achieve the same effect.
Hope this helps for next time
