Balloon Decor / Re: 3ft balloons (pricing and gas)
April 07, 2017, 09:25:19 PM
I've been waiting to create a gender reveal balloon and pricing has been a bit of a minefield for me too. If you inflate the 3ft to 2.5ft your looking at around a fiver in helium, 3ft and that doubles to a tenner. Add on to that the price of the balloon, weights, ribbons/tails, etc. Plus your time. Realistically I would look at pricing ours at 30 pound each.

To be sure do your costings...... materials + overheads + time + profit = selling price.

(sorry the forum doesn't like the pound sign at the moment)

Balloon Tutorial & Help / Re: balloon display help

Yes, it will all be air inflated with a sand weight to keep it from moving. The balloons will be stuck together with some double sided tape or glue dots.

(Disclaimer: I've not tried this myself yet.....) The chances are it's mounted via raisen twist with something small passed through the valve.

Hi

Equity is good as they insure for 10m, I'm not sure what level NABAS or BAPIA cover.

We have also used Blackfriars as they cover other things like Face Painting and Glitter Tattoos for 5m.

Quote from: "Graham Lee"I did not see the hotel charges, were they on the same link?

No, I just went to the website direct. I've done a few sums and for the full 2 days (and 2 nights) it's going to be around the 500 mark and that's without any evening food or buying goodies while you are there. It's a 400 mile round trip for me so being realistic I think it's just not possible.

Just think how many care and share days or local Qualatex classes you can get for the same value.

Quote from: "zozoo"You can get tickets here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/qualatex ... f=efbevent

I'd Love to go but it's pricey with paying out for accommodation too  :o  I need to think about this  :D

Wow, it does mount up quickly with the hotel too. Wonder if I can take a tent?

Cheers Graham. I was hoping they would have full details out by now as it's only 3 month away. It's also the wife's birthday on the 11th so have to tread carefully lol

I really would love to attend this. When will they be announcing the ticket prices? Will there be packages with accommodation or is it usually separate?
