Hi all

Just a quick note to advise any members or lurkers in Scotland that the inaugural Scottish Balloon Jam will take place in Edinburgh on Monday 13th Feb. We're hoping to make this a twice monthly event, alternating between Edinburgh and the Glasgow area, and it is, of course, open to anyone interested and at any skill level.

Many thanks to everyone who came along to the jam last night - it was great to put faces to names, meet new friends and catch up with old ones!

I had a brilliant evening, just 'shooting the balloon breeze' and messing around with sculptures and balloons - I hope the others enjoyed it too.

Just to let anyone know who wants to join in, we are open to anyone of any ability and we're a friendly bunch - you will be made most welcome.

The next Edinburgh Jam is scheduled for Monday 12th March at the same time/venue as before (but I'll confirm this once I've spoken to the owner!) - I'm still trying to arrange a venue for the Glasgow/Western Jam scheduled for Monday 27th Feb, so if anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

Totally gutted i missed it due to technical difficultys whith my phone. all the way to Edinburgh and no battery life in the thing. anyway im glad it was all a success and look forward to maybe getting to meet some of you guys in two weeks time.

Hey Neil, loved the Jam and seeing everyone, even if I had to work that night it was still a blast. Totally chuffed and can't wait for the next one. By the way, learning to make those squares was awesome, made my first bit of clothing using them....sort of. Is armour clothes and a sheild? Gonna do something huge for Holloween I think this year. And my balloon magic subscription is away so fingers crossed.

While at the Blackpool magic convention anyone with a vaguely Scottish accent I mentioned the Jam's, I reckon of about the 15 people I told 10 had not heard anything about it so I passed on the details. Hopefully a few more will turn up for the next event. Any pictures of Event One?
