Danny - yes  I would recommend the book - as well as theory it has a lot of practical stuff in there - exercises to generate ideas - to identify your performing character - to create new stuff

I think I got my copy from Peter Nardi at Alakazam

So we got off to a great start and then the second day of July came!
Anybody want to add anything to this discussion on building and structure of an act?

Who performs a balloon act/ show?

I do. I have a ten minute cabaret act and a one hour show. The hour long show has other stuff in too.

Who wants a balloon based show/act? How far have you got? What do you need to help you get further?

Danny

I have my first 'balloon only' act on 6th August. Been performing magic and balloons for over 20 years but this will be the first time I've done balloons only. The act lasts for 5.59 secs. All done to various music. I'm performing it twice on the same day as part of a variety show. I'm really looking forward to it.
