As a beginner that looks like I'd understand it much better if it was produced as a diagram, or is it that some of us are just useless and cant actually see what's going on LOL! As a Gardener I'd like to be able to make that model...

Hello Graham! Thank you for having me join your balloon chat. I have been spending the past days browsing through the forums and find a lot of creative posts from a variety of nice folks here at balloonchat.co.uk. I am new to balloon decor and twisting but have learned a few basic things such as pillars and arcs. I need to enrich myself with twists and weaves for really nice and eye-catching centerpieces such as this vase with flowers. I shall be making an attempt with my daughter and post the photo of our success (or failure, but I hope not). I'm really glad I have a place to start. :D

Hi Graham, I would like to have a go at weaving and this looks like a fun idea, however I can't get my head around the first pinch twist. Six 260s together at the tip, but where exactly do I pinch twist? It looks like just a red balloon has been twisted. Would it be enough (for now at least to simply wrap the 6 tied balloons together? And the flowers are beautiful but for now its a bit beyond me to work it out!

Make the pinch twist in one of the 6 balloons tied together.

I tried this yesterday, it didn't turn out too bad, but there is obviously something I'm not doing right. I wonder if anyone is able to give me any advice for tidying it up.
One mistake I made was making the sides too long, too quickly so as you can see it turned out more like a hat than a vase!

If you made it three times today and numbered them I'm sure number three would look better than one, just practice.
It does look like you have a few double pinch twists on some of the joints though?

The twists were so small that air got squeezed through to one side and they sort of folded. There is only one pinch twist. I can't work that bit out though. On yours, I can't see any pinch twists. Just the small bubble that precedes it.
