Here's my first entry  
Patricia, if I enter a few times will my name go in the hat a few times as well  
The way this hat is designed the rabbit could well sit in front of someone's face & be very dangerous if it was to pop near someone's eye. If I was to make it again I would make the hat fit similar to on the tweety, so the sculpture is above someone's eye line.

Okay here's my entry, based upon my understanding of the competition (i.e. to create a body design so that Patricia's animal heads can also be balloonimals and not just hats.)

Okay... so that's just the base design. What I have tried to do is to replicate the attachment points of Patricia's hat base on a 4-legged balloonimal (the critical parts are the front 2 head bubbles). I have made it a 2 balloon design and as simple as possible so that it could be used in line work... I did try to get it to 1 balloon originally but Patricia's heads are just too big for a 1 balloon body.

Here's the same base finished off as a horse (if I made this again I would try the back of the horse in brown which I think would look better).

In years to come you could probably eat out on this as everyone will be talking about the good old days when balloon chat started & who was the first competition winner, you'll go down in balloon folk lore  :lol:
OK perhaps not but it was very nice of Patricia to donate the dvd & I was hoping that a few more would have entered........so fingers crossed as the entries come flooding in over the next two days

I am sorry I  missed this competition.  I have been - eerrrr - well busy doesn't even touch it!  I need a break!!!  Mind you I am  feeling like a Marta today having done a twelve hours stint at a gold course yesterday.   I meant to have a go but its too late.  Damn!!!!  Well I doubt I would have won anyway but it would have been nice to join in.  Thank you Patricia for sponsoring the competition.  All the best.
