I have designed myself some interactive pdf booking forms for my face painting in the hope that if they work properly I will extend this type of form to my balloon clients too.  The idea is that anyone with Adobe Acrobat Reader should be able to complete these forms on thier pc and then click a submit by email button to return it to me.

Quick, simple and easy - or so I thought.  It appears so far that I am the only person who has been able to send the forms back this way and I suspect it is because no-one else has version 9.0 of Acrobat Reader but obviously cannot interrogate client's in this way.

I would be really grateful if I could get some volunteers to put some duff info into my forms and try returning them to me following the instructions I have been including in the emails to my clients.  It would also be handy if I could get a couple of people with the latest version of Adobe and some with older versions too.

Looking forward to offers to help me get to the bottom of this  ;)

Hi Yvonne,

If you want to email me the form I'll be happy to try it for you.

Best wishes

Billy

PS: I'll PM you my email now as I think if it's on a forum it attracts spam mail, I could be wrong???

YvonneH

Thank you Graeme I've just sent it now.  I think you are right about the spam but I get so much through my site, another forum I am on and Facebook I have given up trying to prevent it and just delete about 100-150 a day  :o

Couldn't see you on Face book please add me.
I have been wondering about promoting my balloons as a different company as I get booked for my balloons quit a lot, but surly you have to have 2 lots of advertising? is there an advantage to this?

I shall go on in a mo and add you Dave but if anyone else wants to I am the ONLY Yvonne Hodgskin on there - probably just as well

What I have done as I will soon have 3 different businesses up and running is just take out the one line ad in the yellow pages for each of them which also gets you the listing on-line.  Other than that I am actually considering knocking paid advertising on the head.  I have a paid listing with UK-Entertainers and UK-Facepainters but at present I have not even had one enquiry through the face painting one and although I get bursts of quote requests off the main site very few turn into bookings.

I actually do not like paying to advertise past the expense of business cards, postcards and flyers as I really can't afford the outlay at present.
