Would love your opinion on my new web site. It needs updating, but I like it!

Please let me know what you think!

Website looks good.  Just to note, one of your lootle pictures needs rotating.
Also, your definition of CBA involves another acronym which non-decor people wouldn't understand

Maybe something like:
Carol past her exams and became a Certified Balloon Artist in July 2010
(or something to that effect) and leave it at that

Well done!  Hope it serves you well
Lisa

I love the look of the website but I do have a few technical issues.  Firstly (and I can't be sure if it's not just my browser / computer but the actual page does not centre on the screen I have to physically move it both up/down and side to side which will get annoying.  There are ways to get the background to fill the remaining screen whilst always positioning the main page in the centre.  I can't think how to do it right now as it is too early here!

The other thing is when you click on one of your galleries you cannot access any others without going back using the browser functions (well not that I could see at a glance and most will not do more than that anyway).

Also is there anyway you are able to integrate your photos actually into your own website rather than relying on an online storage facility/album?  Your website looks great and using something like lightbox would mean you could have thumbnails on your main page and then larger pictures come up which people can flick through as much or as little as they like.  Both my website and Graeme's (www.sunshineballoons.co.uk (http://www.sunshineballoons.co.uk)) use this kind of photo gallery on our websites.

Sorry I know that sounds negative but the site does look brilliant and your work is awesome so you should attract loads of new clients with it.

Unfortunately my Sunshine balloons gallery needs to be updated Yvonne, the style you mean isn't working yet, but my main magic site gallery does what you mention . . . http://www.billywiz.biz/Gallery/gallery.htm (http://www.billywiz.biz/Gallery/gallery.htm)

I did Yvonne, but for some reason it's stopped working. I did a load of work recently with a few of my other websites, changing the servers etc. I think I must have done something then. I'll get it sorted soon though.

You have a different email address to your web site.

Your email to cdenison1(at)balloonoccasion.com would look more professional.

Suggest use carol instead of cdenison1.

I have flash blocked on my pc so just get this message.....

// Provide alternate content for browsers that do not support scripting // or for those that have scripting disabled. Sorry, this photo gallery requires that scripting be enabled on your web browser and that the Adobe Flash Player be installed.

No phone number is that intentional?

No testimonials.

This is a web site not a letter so suggest loosing...
Sincerely,
Carol Denison-Villegas

You could improve your text by using pictures or graphics to emphasize you text...

Example:

We are able to create many things from balloons, like this superb balloon bird (insert small picture of your balloon bird)

Tip Name the picture using you key words not pict0000001

You mention we/our... Who are the others?

What about a picture of you/your team working or better still video?

Finally who is this site aimed at, what do you want people to do when the get there?

Hope this helps.

I agree about the flash too. It takes ages to load this end. and that sort of functionatinty could be done in other ways without flash e.g javascript

the line

<p><b>What is a Certified Balloon Artist (CBA)?</p></b>

should be:

<p><b>What is a Certified Balloon Artist (CBA)?</b> </p>

personally I would have used CSS to make the text bold - but thats more a matter of style

I would also recormend you put a favicon on the pages - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Favicon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Favicon)
