Title: January, Balloon chat challenge is..........
Post by: Graham Lee on January 04, 2009, 05:29:42 PM
One balloon wonders, thought it may be nice to get a few one balloon creations when we're swamped with thousands around us wanting a balloon & our finish time is in 10 mins

I would post my gorilla but don't think it's good enough as it didn't win at the Birmingham day - sniff and boo hoo etc!

perhaps we should rename this as the idea was for it to be any model/sculpture, animal etc that is just made out of a single balloon

Some very simple offerings here for the one balloon challenge.  I don't tend to do one balloon models because I like a variety of colours.  To get enough colour on the model using a marker somewhat defeats the object of the one balloon model if the aim is to make something quick unless it is just a couple of quick marks.  So as the idea is to make models that are quick I have kept the artwork to a minimum.  Here are three one balloon bracelets.  I did get tempted to add one scrap of balloon to the butterfly as this took seconds to do.  My original idea was to make just the head of an animal and have it set on a 5 or 6 petal shape.  So no need to worry about making the arms body and legs.  I did this with the rabbit and teddy but I drew some paws on the teddy.  Obviously this was not practical for the butterfly but it was quick to make and nice on the wrist.

Hi all,

This is a very popular teddy bear flower balloon!!!!

I designed it one day when doing line work and a little girl couldn't decide between a teddy bear or a flower, so I made both in one!!!

Daniel, that is one of the cutes bunnies I have ever seen.  Especially for only being one 260 and a scrap!  I have tried it bunches and just can't seem to get bubble size right.  You are amazing :)

Hello Tonya, I can write out instructions.
It is an easy bunny to make, you just need to use a Sempertex 260 as other brands are too short for this design ;)

I tried with a Betallic since I have a few and can usually get a little more length out of them. But, to no avail, it still didn't work :( .
I can't find Sempertex here.  And I think it would be too costly for me to have them shipped here from the UK.
I guess I will just have to settle for a 2 balloon bunny ;)
thanks!
