2012:  Made a life size Elvis
           Finally did a balloon skirt

2013:  Would really like to make a full balloon dress
Learn more and more and more about balloon twisting
Be more conservative when I read Nippy99's reviews (hurts my budget) LOLOLOLOLOL

My accomplishments for 2012

***Finally got Big Bear Heads in my desired colors so I could make the designs I wanted
**Bought a separate house for my business so we are no longer living at my work place
*Hired a real accountant and bookkeeping firm
*Started taking separate vacations that were not balloon or work related

My hopes for 2013
***To make Big Bear Heads popular among the masses
***To grow my current business by 20% this year
***To no longer need to take the "line-work" jobs, but have plenty of them for my staff
***To have as many "magical moments" bookings as I do balloon gigs
***To have at least 52 decor jobs this year
***To fix my website and establish a shopping cart
***To produce 6 DVD's on the Big Bear Head balloon
***To take more Face Painting gigs for myself

On the personal side, I would love to learn to control my temper and get a filter for my public unwanted outbursts.
I also want to get healthy and fit and spend more time with my husband of 25 years.

I hope 2013 is the best year year for all of you!

Do you mind me asking what do you mean by this?  I don't understand and I'm curious.

2012
-Booked my first, second and third rounds of library shows within my library system (12 shows per round)
-Performed at one library outside my library system
-Created 4 literary based shows.  The subjects are Pooh bear, Where the Wild Things Are, a mystery, and a Christmas show
-Won the Balloon Blast Video Scavenger contest
-Learned how to do an arch and columns
-Watched my daughter truly become interested in balloon twisting and watched her grow in it
-Did my first birthday party for someone who wasn't already a friend
-Saw my hobby begin to turn into a business

2013
-book at least 10 shows outside my library system
-Figure out how to market myself better (I think marketing is my biggest weakness)
-Remember that my first love is performing.
-Give out at least one large creation a month just to see someone smile (and not just to my library)
-Plan more effectively so I can make it to Twist n Shout 2014

I'm sure there is more, but that's it for now.

Hi Lynnae,

"Magical Moments" are my shows based primarily on magic.   Right now I get hired primarily for making between 25 to 40 balloons for  two hour parties and I love doing magic more.  Even though I love to see the reaction of children and their parents to what I am making, I prefer to make 20 to 30 different designs in advance of those large Birthday Parties and then just do about 10 special ones in front of them in a comical way after my 30 minute comedy magic show.

Besides from perferring magic of twisting for a group, I also like that clients pay more for magic and I get to make a variety of balloons instead of the same 5 to 10 over and over as kids tend to ask for whatever their friends had.  Pre-making the majority of them allows me to be more creative and showcase that I can make some really cool balloons.

My accomplishments for 2012
I discovered balloon twisting in June and attended my first care and share day 2 weeks later.
Quickly progressed from following DVDs to making models from scratch.
Have done 5 or 6 orders for friends which then led to orders from people I don't know (actual real life customers who would have thought it???)

Next year
I would like to develop this art further.
Get quicker at twisting more complex stuff.
Continue to make things from scratch.
Start to build a deco twist business - set up a proper company and keep books etc.
Start to market myself to draw in business rather than just word of mouth.
Aim to have regular orders every month.

But most of all continue to enjoy the creative enjoyment twisting brings and make more balloon friends :)
