I am finally getting around to experimenting with stuffing clear balloons with things, but am in a bit of a quandry about the best background to photograph them against.

A neutral background seems to make the balloons look cloudy, and a black background seems to make it a bit indistinct as to what the model is.

Overall, I am in favour of the black background, but can I please ask what you think, or if you have any other ideas. I have seen some of Grahams work photographed against a mirror. That is my next try.

I look foreward to your advice.....Thanks  :D  :D  :D
Kind regards
Kevin

Hi Tonya,

The globe was made using Graham and Thelma's DVD  Quicker by Tube.

What do you reckon is the best photograph ?????

PS. Happy Valentines Day  :D  :D  :D

I kind of like it with the black background better too.  I think it looks more elegant/professional.

I have the new DVD too, I can't wait until I can start playing with some of the ideas.  As soon as I get home from Twist & Shout I'll be able to play again.  :)

The black background works well with the white balloons. I think the contrast is good. If you had dark balloons the white would possibly be better.

looks good!

How about the black background but with the clear balloon having the neutral background being shown through it. The black makes the balloons stand out but what is in the balloon also looses something so the contrast may work.
