Hello

Just wondering if there is a secret to tying knots? I only twist occassionally and on the odd job where I've been twisting exclusively, my fingers get quite sore from knot making... is it just a case of more practice?

I had the same problem and posted a simular question on here, my fingers used to dry out, crack and get quite painful. there were many good suggestions which I tried but found for me it was probably just dehydration so I now make sure I drink loads of water before and during and that solved the problem, but check out what other people said;

Theres also a good aloe vera moisturising gel you can purchase from holland&barrets its good for your hands and clears up any cuts or scratches you might have very quickly.
"where did you learn how to do this?"
"prison......................no, not really!!"

I also found this thread via the search button which may be of help? There were a few others as well, sore-fingers-t39.html

My one and only tip (because I have fallen foul of it a few times) is dont cut your finger nails before a gig, my thumbs near the nail get very sore if I do.
